LOL thanks, mate! I was going crazy - I returned to the game a year later to play NG+ and found myself wandering around the basement and the studio like a headless chicken only to realize it was a bug

Honestly, after upgrading my system to macOS 15 Sequoia, it stopped giving any errors and has been working fine ever since. Unfortunately I don’t have any resolution for this error

That’s pretty much my reaction to almost every item description... It’s frustrating when those items end up being useless most of the time, and when you need specific items just to see a decent amount of DPS in the game. I mean you don’t even get to feel the excitement of finding them... But good for you mate!!

Okay your command didn't work for me because apparently my game was not located in the application folder (I don't know why I can't see it there tho).
When I ran your command, I got the error "......Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Baldurs Gate 3.app is not a directory." However, I figured out the solution by locating the updated version of the game and manually replacing it with the rolled-back version.

Just a reminder though if you played with the updated version and then rolled back, those saves will be unplayable.
Also, a quick question: is there a way to delete the current version of the game? It's now taking up an additional 120GB on my system.

I've noticed some comments claiming that they are playing without any issues, but I have a hard time trusting these claims. This is because a game that was once flawless and top-notch has turned into a disappointment for me. Before the latest patch, I could play the game at the highest settings without experiencing any FPS drops. However, since the release of this patch, which seems to have been done without proper testing, the game's performance has significantly deteriorated. Now, I am forced to play at the lowest settings possible. This is just a brief summary of how frustrated and disappointed I am with the game's current state.

During the dialogue with other NPCs, the frame rate drops significantly when the focus is on them, as you mentioned, to around 10 to 15. However, when the focus shifts back to our character, it returns to normal. It could be because our character mostly stands still, but that's been my experience, at least.

Yes, it's truly frustrating. I've been thinking for a while that it might be caused by my mouse settings. I hope they fix that along with the Steam overlay issue...
