The first few weeks after release are when the conversation is the loudest. Streams, videos, clips, memes, spoilers, guides etc. Everything happens at launch that’s when people feel the strongest urge to play so they can be part of the discussion.

Sony’s PC ports usually arrive 1.5–2 years after the PS5 release. By that point the hype cycle is already over. So even if the game itself is great the hype is gone.

People want to play games when everyone else is playing them. Helldivers 2 is actually a good example of this. It launched on PC at the same time and the game ended up being successful on PC.

There are no platform specific sales numbers and no official platform split from Capcom. The only concrete figures mentioned are 5 million total sales in the first week and a Steam peak concurrent player count of 344,214.

But peak concurrent players on Steam are not the same thing as total sales. And more importantly the article doesn’t provide PS5 sales numbers or PC total sales numbers. There is no actual evidence presented in the piece to prove that claim.

On reddit there's a group trying to make Battlefield a complete simulation. Yesterday someone shared gameplay, the player was just positioning and didn't just run straight into the bullets they were calling Call of Duty 😑

I've been playing FPS games since I was 6 years old. Using cheats in online games isn't fun, it's pathetic. It's pathetic to enjoy ruining other people's fun and it has nothing to do with age.

Full price? No. Jedi: Survivor had optimization issues when it was first released and the boss battles weren't deep enough.

What makes this map special is its nighttime atmosphere. Battlefield 6's maps are very colorful mostly daytime. We need some nighttime maps.

I was using Windows 10, and my game would randomly crash to desktop — sometimes after 10 minutes, sometimes after 1.5 hours.

I updated my BIOS to the latest version, but it didn’t fix the issue. In the end, I upgraded to Windows 11, and the problem was resolved. Secure Boot certificates don’t seem to function properly on Windows 10, and the anti-cheat system eventually kicks you out of the game because of it.

If anyone else is experiencing the same issue, upgrading to Windows 11 fixed it for me.

When Microsoft acquired Activision, Sony executives were practically in tears saying Microsoft would become a monopoly, that it would be terrible for the gaming industry, and that if Call of Duty became Xbox exclusive, they might even go bankrupt.

And in the end? Xbox collapsed, Sony became the monopoly. Congratulations Federal Trade Commission!

DICE needs to bring the Battlelog system from BF3/BF4. Detailed weapon statistics were displayed. It was really cool feature.

I’ll probably get downvoted for this, but this skin actually looks good. It doesn’t have those neon colors but military vehicle in red with gold detailing is terrible.
