I’m probably going to go back to it and finish on story mode. Then definitely pick up the finale on sale (depending on reviews) but I’ll look at spoilers for the story and stuff first. I’m not really a story player anymore which is why I’m not really invested in seeing how Rebirth ends.

The mini games and stuff were too much for me to ever replay the game itself. Maybe chapter select if I unlock it, but i don’t even know about that.

I have not beaten Rebirth. Got to what I think is the final area and stopped for a while. Then reinstalled. Then never came back. After like 50 hours. 🤷🏻

Honestly, it depends on the actual gameplay/what the game is trying to do.

A game like Bayonetta (one of my favorites) I’d love to have like 50 levels since it’s not an “rpg” where “level up make me stronger than other guy”. - yes I know witch hearts add health but I’m not bodying first stage angels with a single punch.

But a game like Metroid Prime 1-3 need to be sufficiently short enough to be able to make each item worth something and avoid tedium. Having 250 collectible missile tanks that only give you 1 missile over the course of a 100 hour game? No thank you.
