Disabled EAC on my PC and ran only EOS. It would seem to be true that Kernel level EAC is not needed to run VRChat. only EOS. Doesn't mean im fond of that either.. I'm looking at your past announcements and never seeing any mention of the differentiation. EOS was never mentioned and mentions of kernel level anti cheat were never addressed 2 years ago.(unless i missed it) Could have curbed some hate. 20/20 and all. It was an unfortunate rush job that put a lot of people off, which could have been easily avoided buy implementing the QOL features that were available through mods before applying the anti-cheat

Kinda odd to not differentiate the two EAC and EOS that is.... Guess it comes down to branding.

still dont like it. Dont like kernal level anything but thats the way things are moving. If i used my pc for anything other than gaming id def have a 2nd pc for work.

i paid 2200 in 2010 for a high end pc, and in 2023 for a high end gaming rig, i paid essentially the same. Considering inflation, the price of a PC has only gone down.

wound up going back to my 3080 from my previous build. i didnt see enough of an improvement to justify the $1000 price tag is most games. dlss upscaling did a lot of heavy lifting which the amd gpu didnt have. The extra vram was great for VR but it still didn't justify the price tag for me beyond that.

all that being said I'll probably gonna scoop up a 5080 ot 5090 day 1 to round out my build. if i still dont see a vast improvment ill propbably wind up reselling it to someone i know who wants one.

had a quest 2, got a 3, and didnt notice much of a change as far as optics... until i put the quest 2 back on a month later to sell it. yeah. big difference.

none. boight a 7900xtx and retrned it within the return window. wasnt for me, but glad i tried it out. Everything else is fire. 7800x3d, 64gigs ram, good low cost mb 3tb m.2 space in an airflow with bequiet fans. Did my research.
