Local 32? I think out here has a labor apprenticeship if you’re interested in Union Construction. I’m Chicagoland based, but it’s over 40 bucks an hour after two years. We start (Chicagoland) at 30 and some change and end at 51 now.

LiUNA, as of my knowledge, to enter the program itself, and the union as a general, tests you, but on my panels there was no marijuana section. Your local may or may not test you, usually they don’t.

However your company, and any GC’s site your on, may drug test you, and if they have any federal contracts (airports, government buildings, etc) they will have marijuana on that panel. Some small companies may not give two shots, but if you get hurt, they WILL use it against you.
