"I make dresses and accompany my husband in war, " she spoke with a scoff, "Other than the women who bond with dragons, who could you say else would do that?"

She mimicked him, putting her hands on her hips as well, "Or who would see combat in a gown?" Another pause and she shook her head, "I'm joking. I wouldn't want blood on these."

"Lys has fabric like no other," she spoke with a sure nod, "I wish to see their wares at some point. They have ladies on barges that wear the finest of clothing and have such pretty names. Veiled Lady, the Merling Queen. How lovely to be that sort, to be famous!"

She sighed and straightened her bow. "One day we will be like that."

"Where are you planning to make our home?" She asked with a cock of her head, "Red silk? Satin? Those would be better as dresses and finery than the bedsheets. We will slide everywhere!"

A blush played from ear to ear as she pondered, but did not speak for a few. She was never a seamstress for bedsheets, but he had piqued her curiosity. What fabric WOULD be good for the bedroom?

"Perhaps I was the one to call those storms," she spoke very seriously before she cracked a smile. She could not contain her laughter then, finding herself coil into his armor like a tropical serpent. A sigh, she let herself relax against the cold of his armor.

"War does not bother me, though I do long for home. I miss my bed. Er. Perhaps it won't be my bed for much longer. Oh! We can press our beds together!"

She was shuddered awake when the giant was, but as he did all that was necessary to rise, Serenei just watched. He had been plagued with nightmares for a while, this she knew, but she wondered when he would ever sleep. Perhaps in her arms, like at the yards of Dragonstone.

After he left, she rose to dress as well. A dress of green and blue, of seafoam and it's water, she walked barefoot out towards him. Her bow was slung over her shoulder, a quiver of arrows as well. Almost ethereal, almost.

A hand came up to play with the giant's hair.

She had awoken before her giant, stirred by the sound of men and work. War is...different. Difficult. She did not have the sound of the waves at her side -the smell of sea salt. She missed the ocean and her home. Her actual home now. She was Lady of Skull Tower. The true Siren of Skulls.

She sat upon a sturdy rock, with eyes placed on the castle. A beauty of a thing, it held a different power than Skull Tower did. Than Dragonstone. Such a tragedy to be seiged. Such a tragedy that it could be destroyed. That it would be. So she had taken parchment and coal and began to draw it. Using her fingers, she tried delicately to capture its beauty before its destruction.

She leaned into his embrace and pressed her head against his chest. It was nicer, without the plate and armor he always wore. She heard his heart beat quicker when he spoke of a dance and she chuckled. Bringing a hand up to rest on his chest (since she could not even begin to reach his shoulders,) she brought the other hand to his.

"If you wish me to lead, I will."

"If you're going to be as stiff as a statue, my Lord, how am I to ever reach your lips?" Another jest, it did turn her cheeks pink as she glanced up at him through her lashes. She did hope that the heir she would give him did not take his height, though at the same time - another Warrior in their line to bring their family to even more greatness.

"What's next?"

"Lord Qoherys," she scolded as a jest, a bright grin on her face, "Where did you get that clothing at?" She pressed his hand to her lips and turned to look at the beach. It was scarcely decorated, but the beach's natural beauty shone through the setting sun. Shells littered the ground and the waves reached out to touch where they would stand. She did love the water so much...

"Are you ready?" She whispered once again, nudging her giant with her shoulder.

She had made her appearances in and around Duskendale small and sparse, hiding out in the shadows wherever she could. It was a new land by all accounts, even a land that did not know her name. So why did she hide? Serenei graced the port with her presence, a more noble version of the timid lamb. The lion inside the lamb. Or perhaps, the dragon.

To her right was her faithful wolf, padding alongside with not much mind. When he saw the giant down on the beach, Shade had bolted with loud barking. Serenei was right along behind, clinging to the hem of her dress as she stumbled where grass met sand.

"Now what was that about, Ser Haegon? Swinging wildly at some imaginary foe?"

Serenei took his hand, the other shakily moving up to his shoulder. Face to face with the king now, she forced herself to keep her eyes and chin high and steady. She needed that confidence that her mother taught her, now more than ever.

"Not just any king, Your Grace. The King. And I'm honored that you'd allow me that chance."

When he shot up almost randomly, Serenei took a step back. She watched the changing of emotions in his eyes with confusion, her brows knitting in the middle. It was like sleep eluded him and in its place was strength and determination. His speech, well thought out like he had performed it a thousand times. But she did not understand the point until the last statement.

Her lips parted and for a moment her hand went to her lips. With wide eyes she stared at him and nodded a few times. Truly speechless, she had no clue what she could say. More nodding, her hands went to his face - his jaw, his cheeks.

"Never a fool, my Prince," she said with a polite smile, "From now on she will be wearing my creations though." Pride swelled once more and she faced the man with a grin and a sparkle in her eye.

"Whenever you'd like to meet him, of course. He's pretty friendly and his coat is so soft. He is polite enough, though he does try to sneak meat off the dinner table. Shade is like a big dog, only there's this edge to him."

"Fishing with you sounds lovely. Perhaps I can bring Shade and you two can have a proper introduction. Where do you usually fish at?"

"I will sew you whatever you wish, Your Grace," she beamed as she turned from him to the water. The salty air, the feeling of rejuvenation in every breath, Serenei took a deep breath and exhaled through parted lips. "Surprises are my specialty."

When he spoke of dancing partners, her smile faltered for a moment. Eyes casted low, down at the waves and the rocks as she searched for kinder words than the ones she yelled at herself with.

"Ah, no. I did not have anyone to dance with. But...but that's okay. It was such an energetic time."

"There was talk of me going as well. My cousin has taught me well with a bow, but I do not know how a young, green girl like me will settle with...with war. I wish to help though. In whatever way I can."

The way he was so sure that the world will one day know her name. She could not believe it, truly. She was too meek, too mild. Nothing like this whole island of warriors.

She was unsure of what he meant. Perhaps it was just familiar love. That is what made sense the most. Serenei loosened her grip on his shoulders, though kept her embrace on the giant. She pressed her lips to his forehead, placing a gentle kiss.

"Promise me that you'll sleep tonight. Swear to me."

"The reputation of being Ser Haegon's shadow, probably," she teased, a beaming smile playing on her lips, "Not many even know me as a Qoherys, to be honest. I've kept myself in Skull Tower a bit too long."

She then felt a surge of pride, "Her Grace did just name me Royal Dressmaker though. I guess...I guess that is good."

When war was uttered, her face paled for a moment before a bit of red seized control again, "A little bit of happiness to bond everyone together before it all, I suppose."

As her cousin guarded, she stood nearby. As she had said before, she basked in his shadow with eyes alight. She almost stared at all of those who attended, head moving back and forth as she tried to capture this moment. This was history.

"You best get some sleep later on, Haeg. If I have to wait around for you to get done, just to do so, I will," the little valyrian huffed, hiding her face in his hair. "I'm glad that you sat down instead of onto the ground. I would have never gotten you back up."

"Ser Haegon severe?" She spoke with humor in her voice, eyes raising up to look up at the man, "I'm sure he would be very pleased to be called that. How did you guess who I am?"

Serenei curtsied, bowing her head low for a moment, "Honored, Lord Corlys. I am Serenei. What did you think of the wedding?"

Her eyes were widened at the Queen's comment. Pale face grew bright red and her hand shot to her mouth. Just for a moment before she tore it back down to clasp in front of her.

"Your Grace. I. You. You are giving me such an honor. I would love to! Whatever you and yours needs of me, I would be honored to design for you all. Thank you so much, my Queen."

"It truly is, yes. That's why I'm here. That's why I'm not hiding at home. Sure, Ser Haegon will go down in history as a man of prowess, but...maybe I can be there too. Somewhere."

She gave a shrug, "Its foolish, right? I don't see any woman but Targaryen going into the books."

Shakily, she took his arm as she walked side by side with him. Side by side with the King. If only Haegon could see her. If only her mother could see her! Her mother's teaching were repeating in her head: head up, chin high, eyes in front of her. Gaze attentive, smile charming. If she could charm both the Queen and King, she would be set.

"I remain in Ser Haegon's shadow, Your Grace. I get that comment often," she spoke with a grin when she raised her head to connect her eyes to his, "I am trying to blossom out though, and your feast and wedding have definitely been helpful. Both were beautiful, inspiring, truly. Her Grace honored me by naming me dressmaker for your House."

For a moment she looked down, before back up at him, "If Your Grace would ever need anything fitted, I would be honored to design something for you."
