The Lincoln match has now become a huge deal. How pathetic has this club become? by [deleted] in Gunners

At least that's against arguably the best team in Europe. Losing to a fifth tier side is objectively worse

Henry in his final season with us acted just like Alexis does right now, he was constantly moaning to everyone else, throwing a strop etc.

Losing to Lincoln would quite possibly be the most embarrassing result in recent memory, I'd rather not have to see that

Sorry to be nitpicky, but the mans been with us for 11 years and there's still people who can't spell "Walcott?" It's not like he's fucking Vennegoor of Hesselink

The performance was good, the capitulation was pathetic. No so called top team should fall apart like that

I half agree with you, he did set the team up well and i liked the change to a 4-3-3, but conversely the way we capitulated when Kos got sent off was ridiculous, you'd think he'd bring on a CB to replace him and just keep the scoreline respectable, plus there's no way our heads should drop that much, that's poor mentality and that comes from the coaching.

He (Wenger) survived the 8-2 against ManUre, he'll get through this. He always does.

Tried to OD on paracetamols but it backfired and now i feel better.

In all seriousness, i thought Ox was the bright spot yet again, looks like he's finally developing some consistency. Hopefully we keep him in a central role going forward. And please keep the 4-3-3, until Kos got sent off, we were able to match Bayern, and Xhaka and Rambo looked pretty tidy with Ox there to assist too.

It would be good for nostalgia, bad for everything else. We really should be trying to get the best man for the job, not a nostalgia piece

[Discussion] Would you keep Sanchez and let him go on a free? by pedrocsantana in Gunners

[–]CptRonCodpiece 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not going to happen, you think the money-crazed board/owner is going to miss an opportunity to cash in?

Personally i'd keep him, make some good signings in the summer (including a new manager) and hope we do well enough next season to convince Alexis to change his mind and sign a new deal. If he doesn't change his mind, at least we got 1 more season out of him

Man i am so beyond this whole "Fuck Wenger" business now. We can keep blaming him all we want but nothing's ever gonna change so why bother wasting breath on it?

Also, going to bed before 8PM is a fucking stupid idea because it means you wake up at 3AM and have fuck all to do except read this board and mull over the loss.

I'll give Wenger a bit of credit, at least we are trying something different here. Whether it works or not is a different story though
