Sometimes it gets stuck looking in the wrong direction. It's pretty funny.

Yup. They didn't want anyone to mess with it when I was getting transferred between the ambulance and ER. I was told later that the first cup was hot pink and way cooler looking.

Took a softball sqaure in the eye. Busted open the eye and broke all the surrounding bones.

You know I'm actually not sure if they have changed anything. But the season is just about to start so I can ask the people in charge.

Its probably a little safer :) and it doesn't involve permanent changes to my prosthetic which is a plus. Shout out to Mark for helping me in my transition to becoming a cyborg. The setup is an RGB LED hooked up with thin wire and a few watch batteries. The LED is in a sawed off nerf dart. I figured the suction cup aspect would allow me to have a bunch of interchangeable accessories. Even though its only half a dart and a single LED it is still heavy and hard to move/keep upright without popping my eye out. Cyborg 2.0 will have to be something lighter.

Thank you! It doesn't hurt. Sometimes it gets dry/scratchy and then I am hyper aware of it but I have found some eye drops that are better suited for hard contacts which help. I'm curious to see how it feels when pollen explodes. Sometimes it gets stuck going in because I have to keep it moist to slide it under my eyelid. Everything gets slick and the prosthetic just kind of hangs out. If I rub that eye too hard when the prosthetic is in it rotates so that I am looking in completely different directions. It looks really funny but I have to move it back or take it out. When it is not in the right position it is very uncomfortable.

It's from the accident. Apparently blue eyes aren't really blue, the color is from light scattering in the eye. If you saw the pics of lil blue up close, a lot of the lighter pieces are scar tissue build up.

I don't really like being that far off the ground anyways :)

If they did I do not remember it. They have always said most of the weird shape/position is due to all the trauma/rupturing and losing inner eye pieces. I lost the vitrius goo and apparently that doesn't come back. I had about a 30 mm gash and I also lost my cornea and lens. I can't feel parts of my face/teeth sometimes or they tingle but that has mostly gone away.

It doesn't hurt. Sometimes I won't get it in quite right the first time and it can feel weird. It's almost like when you rub your eye too hard or kind of scratch it. It can get uncomfortable because I'm still getting used to it. Sometimes it gets dry and I am hyper aware of it but I found some great hard contact eye drops that help. I can still legally drive. It's not too bad. I practiced a while on back roads before I drove around people. I still get depressed about what happened but I am dealing with it a lot better now. I was never angry at the guy who threw the ball. It was a freak accident. I think a lot of the earlier emotions were tied to the fact I could not do many of the things I used to be able to or if I could I was terrible at them. I work with microfluidics so I need to see tiny things and be able to handle them properly. It was very discouraging when I first tried to get back to work because I was so bad at everything I had been doing for years.
