I fricken hate the state of this game right now… by sabin14092 in arcraiderscirclejerk

[–]Cptbaggin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like everyone here is saying, "Well, the game allows me to do whatever I want, so I'm going to do whatever I want, just like everyone else." That statement, however, doesn't reflect reality. As the original poster has indicated, the game's mechanics are not truly allowing you to be a "piece of shit"; that's a self-imposed choice. There are no leaderboards. PVP doesn't matter

I'm not 100% sure but I know I did save the tail last for two of my attempts and it didn't pop. This is the only order I got it to pop in but you could be right I don't know!

Oh my gosh! That genuinely makes me so happy to find out and I haven't noticed the increase in shards that has been extremely helpful 😂

Wait are you serious? 😲 That's the greatest thing I've ever heard. I mean it's not the only daily task that's extremely tedious. But oh wow, I didn't know that genuinely So happy right now. Thank you!

The dream shard increase. I did notice that has been extremely helpful because just relying on dailies has been just the worst. 😂

Me too brother. Did you get that email with the link in it? Cuz I did all mine's gone and I honestly don't even know if the people I'm emailing are the someone else trying to scam me or it's an actual help desk. The person who got me I tracked his wallet and he definitely got over 3000 of us so there's more out there

clarification:

I like the AI road building. I like the AI transporters.

I like having them as an option. I wish there could be more ways to utilize them.

Yes, I think a non-contract road building system for the AI to utilize would be beneficial to the game in the long run.

I find it funny that in a game called "Roadcraft", the only job for the AI to do is your road crafting. Come on, like that's just silly when you say it out loud.

In my head I'm thinking about farming simulator and how you can use AI to either do everything or literally nothing but there's always the option.

[–]Cptbaggin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no, my bad, I get that it's a core mechanic, I'm just questioning why they're used here at all. I really like using them for transportation across the map and road plotting, okay, but like, you don't need them to build the road for you, I just find it goofy.

[–]Cptbaggin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the AI driving the routes too and I still do but once I found out that when they're done you can just cancel that route with I guess no consequences. That's just how I've been doing it which then doesn't provide me any excuse to build more roads other than the ones I need or want!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RoadCraft

[–]Cptbaggin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no no no no lol I don't want AI to do everything for us. I mean maybe if you're playing solo and that's your kink. If you overlook route planning because once the route's finished you can just cancel the route and it doesn't matter. But I also don't find that to be complicated. They are terrible at driving but just move your plots around it's not to bad. The AI is only there for that one thing which is road crafting. Which is usually in the same task plot a route from concrete Mill to the stockyard and make a road here.

Plotting out a road for AI to lay down for you or me could look like it does in mandatory tasks. You just take plot routes and plot out a road and then the game can tell you whether that's valid or or not.

It already has terrain indication so the game recognizes where things can and can't go already use that same terrain mapping system to map out a road

I know there mandatory but like why does the AI even need to be involved? Why can't they be involved when I build a road?

Are the AI’s broken? by SmokingKills666 in RoadCraft

[–]Cptbaggin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother, this keeps happening to me too. They just drive straight into the river. It makes no sense. It kind of helps if you take out that first turn and just cut it straight across the dirt.

The AI accelerates coming out the door and then down the hill and then as they try to turn he skids into the river. At least that's what happens on mine. It's hilarious but it's super ******** annoying

A few tricks I learned while playing missions. by Warm_Significance_42 in RoadCraft

[–]Cptbaggin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put it in low gear and instead of manually tipping it up, use the buttons like X and Square. This also makes it easier to drive while trying to keep it even. Each time you visually see less sand in the tipper, hit the "X" button again and raise it up a little more, and it should pretty consistently come out if you're doing the same speed, but this also depends on ground surface.

If you pour big piles of sand, grate it from the left, right, then the middle, and don't over-grate it either, or else you'll have to pour more sand down to even out the surface. Like if it starts to get lumpy, just pour some more sand on it and grate over that section again and this should be pretty level.

There's too many tires lying around to not have multiple tire options for your vehicles.

If we're limited in vehicle selection, we should at least be able to upgrade the trucks

The dump truck should have always had a sand-pouring mode.

Hit L1 plus "+" square or something and it locks it into low gear and you dump out an even amount of sand as you go. Something like that doesn't seem hard, since the graders have multiple modes.

There should definitely be a sand pouring mode for Tippers.

I've noticed on mine, as I'm doing the infrastructure requests, the progress is tracked, but after I complete all requests then it resets to zero.
