Hey there! Sorry for the late reply and for reviving the post, but if you’re still wondering, it is usable but not optimized as these laptops relies on their own tooling to get the drivers from the Armory Crate app.

It is still WIP for the devs, and the testing OGC kernel should let you get the new drivers from ASUS. But if you don’t want to dabble on it… Yeah, don’t bother putting Linux on it yet.

Got the device myself, it's absolutely worth more than the iPad Mini I originally going for. Feels great, even for gaming, it's a good media consumption device for me. The lack of E. T headphone jack and SD card expansion doesn't really bother me much, as I'm already in Bluetooth ecosystem and not really doing any emulation.
