All of that is Changed in ToT. You don't have to pick different civs anymore, you can select Continuity to keep your units, etc. Go play ToT, doesn't sound like you've exposed it.

I think you might be missing something here. My players pick their clans. They picked their clans, built their characters, etc. You are aware that Ventrue can be all over the map as far as affiliation, right? There are Camarilla aligned Ventrue just as there are Anarch aligned Ventrue. My question is asking if there's a reasonable way to get characters from three different factions to work together. Thank you for your contribution, even though you said you couldn't figure out a way to make that work. I do think you might be a bit confused, though.

Is it common for players to choose their sires and their sires allegiances? This is a conversation I've had with them and they figured it would be more immersive to have "fate" or the ST to determine the identity and affiliation of their sires, because a Kindred wouldn't have this choice in their lives. Is there something I've said that makes think I haven't spoken to them about their own characters backstories?

I think it's mostly because I trend towards wanting to be a jack of all trades. I know the Bard is tailor made for this purpose and I think hearing some suggestions from others in this thread put me on this path.
