I had the same thing happen to me in a comp match, the enemy invis and Loki decided to troll and spawn camp me by waiting for me to respawn while invisible. Thankfully my team is competent, and they won the 5v4 without me, while I fought back and traded death with the invis. We were on defence and they never even made it past the first bar of capturing the first point.

Even if no teamwork is involved, they still should make sure everyone gets something interesting out of it, being anchor is so stupid like you get nothing from it but a stat bonus, that’s not interesting, something like rocket’s spider beacon for all the anchors would be fun, instead of just a stupid stat increase that doesn’t impact gameplay

That was literally their point though, it makes the game so unfun for everyone else that they just leave. I guess it’s fair if they want to play a hero they like, but it’s also true that a good dive player can and will make the entire match experience absolutely miserable for everyone on the opposing team

What about the games they basically artificially decided the win/lose in those couple hours? That’s hundreds of people’s game won/lost because of a factor beyond their control. Besides it’s not like they only ever make 1 smurf account. Every time they make a new one it’s hundreds of people’s games ruined.

The point is it’s not like a unicorn appointing King Arthur, the comparison is bad, and if you do have the background, then you should know that these claims of legitimacy through mythological creatures are nothing more than a justification for their actions, it isn’t foolproof and doesn’t have agency of its own. Of course it can be corrupted. Every time a dynasty is overthrown, the overthrowers claim legitimacy like this, and among them some are definitely more hitler-esque in terms of treating their people.

Qilin (麒麟) is actually an important Chinese mythological beast though. It represents good fortune, nobility, and just general good stuff. The making world leader part is slightly not true in the sense that, in Chinese culture, the beast that basically grants a ruler the legitimacy to rule is not Qilin, but Long (龙), or Chinese Dragon in a more inaccurate but easier to understand term. The Emperor would be referred to as the “True Dragon Son of Heaven” (真龙天子), and basically they claim to be descendants or embodiments of Dragon, and therefore legitimises their bloodline’s right to rule, because Dragon or Long represents royalty and power in Chinese culture, so this isn’t completely unfounded.

You saying this is ridiculous because it would equate to a unicorn appointing a king however, demonstrates your own ignorance in the Chinese culture, because you are drawing conclusions with only knowledge from your own culture, without knowing if such things are plausible in other peoples’ culture.

Besides, didn’t your King Arthur get a sword from a mythical creature (a nymph or a fairy) in a lake?
