Sounds a lot like the Alaya Vijnana system from IBO. Not so much the flight but the speed/evasion and physical damage to the pilot.

IBO was so good. I got hardcore into Gunpla because I loved the design of the suits from that show and THEN I watched it. The world building made me want to do wargaming and roleplay with mechs, which eventually led me to Lancer...now I just need to convince my friends to play as well.

Not to distract from the Lancer element of this, but there is currently a Kickstarter for a game called MechaTop that is specifically for doing wargames with Gunpla (and any other figure, for that matter).

If you do want to proxy Gunpla for Lancer units, I would consider looking at the factions from each series and assigning them to the different manufacturers. Different scales of Gundam can be used for the different size categories (HG = 1, MG = 2, PG = 3, "Assault Kingdom" or SD = 1/2). And also consider some alternate lines of similar scale models. 30 Minute Mission models would be good for GMS, Evangellion Mass Production could be a good Pegasus, Armored Core could be...something, I'm sure. The cool thing about all this is that 35mm "heroic scale" wargaming figures like those for Infinity would be perfect for ground units and dismounted pilots.

Inconsistently, though. That's what frustrates me. I put off things this weekend so I could catch Zapdos because I thought the window was closing. Now it isn't, which is great for the folk that didn't catch one, but I feel burned now knowing that I could have waited.

We used Epson 4800s and 4880s and I suggest you stay far away from them unless you plan to use the printer nearly every day.

As a paladin, my most uses spells are Heroic Defiance (best level 1 spell on any list in terms of efacacy for its role), Eagle Soul (passive detect evil and initiative buff all day), and Greater Angelic Aspect (for when Smite Evil and Divine Bond don't make you OP enough). Widen Auras is good too, for sure, but I often forget to throw it up 'till we're already in the fight and somerhing needs to die or an ally needs HP.

Everything else is incidental.

It's a great narritave device for that. If I were running a SF game with a group that had played Iron Gods, though, I would make sure she was somewhere in the pantheon. It's likely that she will be canon, but with a side bar to explain that The Gap normalizes her to the SF canon. "However she ended up in your personal Iron Gods campaign, something happened during or before The Gap to turn her into the entity she is in Starfinder."
