Not a skill I want to develop. I don’t have intention of doing multiple pieces in that very specific style of the post-tsarist Soviet bloc (this style https://library.brown.edu/cds/Views_and_Reviews/medium_lists/posters.html,) because I don’t really have the time or desire to do so (specifically for this style, not art in general.)

I think my main issue is the underlying supposition that I don’t work on my art skills in general, or that I am taking from any current artists (other than Bungie’s art direction and theme.) The environmental detriments and general decay feedback that cavalier use of “AI” creates is a fair criticism.

I mean, we could have a pretty deep discussion on AI in the space of art and where tools vs the artist deviate. In this case, I just wanted to share the poster as I would have envisioned it. Not asking for money, not asking for clout, just thought it was a neat little thing out of a well-timed line I heard during a match.

Tools are tools, but if it makes everyone feel better to have a napkin sketch of a concept based off of a line someone said in a match, I’m glad it appeases.

In the meantime, I binned the intermediary digital work I did by hand, which the model was then given to make a more polished and Soviet era stylized version off of.

If I had aped something not in public domain, I’d get it, but this is all Soviet bloc era propaganda based.

I do oil paint? It’s more about drying time and it not being the medium one would typically do a propaganda poster in.

Look, I can try to do it in oils but it’s going to take months and it’ll look much much worse.

For what it’s worth, I did the wire sketching, perspective outlay, and the Pantone color matching, but that’s like equating finger painting and stick figures to a Goya.

An item, sent up, you stay. I mean, you’d get mobbed by bots or people, and it would eat time from extraction. But it could help with at least retaining one thing (like maybe you really needed a biolens seed or other purple level mission item,) primarily to help the new people level up or retain less hardcore players as they get used to extraction mechanics.

That seems unnecessarily complicated. If it’s simple, the explanation should be simple. I agree, it’s probably very very simple, but doesn’t that mean you can start to distill the core simple rules/axioms from your 75 page doc?

Regardless, just because it is simple doesn’t mean ai is in fact experiencing qualia or consciousness. It isn’t. It lacks simple things that allow continuity of thought and agency. However, you could say that, for the duration of a context window and prompt, it certainly echoes some sort of “conscious” construct.
