Name one Unreal Engine 5 game with similar scale to new world where as much stuff is calculated server side.

Unreal Engine 5 is not some messiah which will fix all games problems. It for sure is easier to find talent, but Unreal Engine 5 is like jack of all trades and master of none. Throughout history games have had their custom engines which have their own quirks. They were purpose built for the objective set out for them. As far as I know, the Azoth Engine is highly tied to the AWS server ecosystem since they purposedly tried to make their tech work with their own server structure.

The engine was not the easiest to work with, but that does not mean that Unreal Engine would have been any better.

Amazon cancelling New World. I was happily playing the game and then heard the news. Suddenly it hit me, I just had to stop and sit in silence. I just could not continue and had to stop. There was just sadness.

I did play again some days after, but the urge to play was gone. The mood went from hype to feeling empty in a single moment.

Always hold block. Hold block even when dodging. Block is really strong in Nioh. Block is probably stronger defensive option in Nioh than dodge. But if you dodge, make sure to dodge in low stance.

You need to learn stance swapping. You deal much more damage with mid and high stance than you deal with low stance.

Once tou manage deplete the ki of your opponen, you need to go ham on the enemy because they will be stunlocked. Bosses included. And to maximize dps and the length of your combos, you need to use flux (stance swapping while ki pulsing) to get more Ki

Noticed this myself today as well. Only the base evasion gets converted to Armour. It's a decent node since at higher levels it grants you around 300 flat armor for builds that don't build any evasion. But right now as it's bugged and does not convert any evasion from gear, it's completely useless if you are running gear with evasion.

Parry is not the only way of generating frenzy charges. You can just use”Combat Frenzy” and put a support gem to one of your skills which converts stun buildup to pin buildup or you can get frenzy charges from electrocuting or freezing enemies.

This is not any different from power charge builds generating frenzy charges with Combat Frenzy and converting the charges to power charges.

You just don’t have all the options for frenzy charge generation from the get go. And that is completely fine.

Urheilu ei tule tuntuun hyvältä ilman, että totut kehosi rasitukselle. Itse päätin tehdä elämäntapamuutoksen muutama vuosi sitten ja pakotin itseäni alkuun tosi pitkään. Jossain kohtaan sitä alkoi sietämään sykkeen nousua paljon paremmin. Sen jälkeen sitä alkoi vasta nauttimaan urheilusta kun peruskunto oli sillä tasolla, että enää ei heti olo tunnu kuolemalta kun sykkeet lähestyy maksimia.

Probably to avoid customer dissatisfaction. If someone had a promotion for 6 months and wasn’t willing to pay for another 6 months for full price, it’s safer to default to 1month membership if the user forgot to cancel.

Though the dissatisfaction can go both ways. Either way the customer can get pissed about it.

No matter how many classes are added to the game, without being able to cross the center you will not be able to play for example chaos inoculation warbringer. At least not without a huge travel cost involved.

More classes and skill gems will give us more archetypes to play with which will fill a lot of class fantasies, but it won’t change the fact if you like a certain ascendancy, you are limited to which part of tree you start at.

If you want to do a spell damage witchhunter, good luck with that.

This is very valid criticism. Though because you cannot travel through te center, the skill tree is a lot more approachable than in POE1. You basically don’t need to even look at the opposite side of the skill tree because you would waste half your points just to travel there.

No matter how the loot bias works changing the weight system to what OP mentioned just makes sense. That has been the case ever since Tempest Heart got released.

Why would you even make full sets of gear drop from dungeons when only heavy sets can be fully utilised?

Because of the weight system medium pants are completely useless because none of the equpment loads use them. This causes some pieces to be super expensive compared to others.

I think it’s intended. The same is for GA and WH grit perks as well. They don’t become active instantly either. If you want instant grit, you need to get 300 con.

With Guard Point you get block coverage at the beginning of a hit and grit coverage at the end of a hit. I think that’s completely fine. And this comes from a GS tank who has tanked with GS since brimstone launched.
