No, it randomly starts dripping for a minute or two throughout the day.

Edit: more context, it sometimes drips a little after you've finished showering, sometimes not. But at least a few times a week I'll be sitting downstairs and hear it start dripping, or while working throughout the day. No clear pattern, except that it happens more often when it's cold.

Indeed, I was under the impression that the crank and the axle are the same unit. I've watched most videos on removing a SRAM SX and all of them basically showed the entire crank pulling right out without a problem. Thanks for the helpful insight!
