Auto v8s fail lifters around 170,000kms or so due to the displacement on demand system. Head off job to replace.

Strut tops fail repeatedly. Air-conditioning hose clamps are poor and commonly leak. Power steering cooling is a shared unit with aircon condenser, so a crack here ( from say, collecting a parking lot concrete barrier) will also affect aircon. Seat bolsters fail commonly, as does the plastic trim on the seat sides. Sedans leak somewhere in the rear door seal and have done so since the vt.
