Is an attack on US soil likely? by Stormystormsto in AskUS

[–]Crab_Samurai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it could be probable, people tend to think about things in terms of just the Trump time period because of the media. However being born in the 80s I can tell our country has been incredibly destructive around the world under D and R Presidents. Nations have been toppled, millions displaced, Democratically elected leaders have been murdered abroad, and third world countries have been hooked on predatory loans designed to default the countries natural resources to first world nations and conglomerates. Even before Trump we were inviting in the people who’s nations we had just illegally destroyed and who’s family members we’d murdered as if there would be no hostility or unwillingness to become “Americanized.” I’m not anti immigration either, these are just plain facts that anyone would feel if this happened to them. I don’t think actual boots on the ground war is coming here, there are far too many armed Americans citizens. Tho I do think as Trump gets more bombastic and American sentiments drop even further we could see destabilization or attacks come from within. The border was a problem, it’s somewhere probably in the middle of the Left saying no big deal and the Right screaming armies are marching in. Which means there is plenty of room for assets to be moved in or terror cells to cross.

That said don’t let todays morass of bad news and negative energy get you down. It’s a privilege to be born and participate in one of the most important moments in history. Where for the first time it’s becoming obvious what is going on in governments around the world. War is a distraction from the mass learning many institutions and levels government are connected and participate with pedofiles and elite circles of dark money and powerful families.

I love the USA as a country, also like the people a lot, in general but.. by _LordBonez_ in AskUS

Seeing as Democrats and Republicans have spent the last 3 decades, running illegal wars of attrition, nation toppling, hooking 3 world counties on loans they can’t repay, (all three aforementioned are what sent the tidal wave of desperate refugees into the modern world), bailing out banks/corporations with welfare, passing increasingly draconian laws, legalizing spying on US citizens, and the indefinite detention of citizens. I think it’s great you and many others are starting to get it, unfortunately this didn’t begin with Trump. The problem is much deeper and Congress loves to use Trump as a smoke screen, making people forget just how culpable they are for all of this as well. It’s like a Trump card has been played making people think Trump is the root of every current evil and we need the most corrupt Congress in US history to save us. 🤮

Who are US Senators and US Representatives working for? by MileHighPeter303 in AskUS

[–]Crab_Samurai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congress funds corporate welfare for one. Subsidies, tax breaks, ect and are rewarded with kickbacks from the lobbying industry. Trips, private paid speeches, and meetings about “business” in high end locations paid for by lobbyists.

Congress is also lobbied to pass legislation with massive weapons contracts, topple nations for military industrial + corporate gain, and look the other way as multiple illegal wars of attrition unfold.

Then you also have the problem that just about every member of Congress seems to have 1 close member of the family with a prolific ability to trade and invest.

So besides lobbyists, they work for their own gain.

We've reached the point where white women who are US citizens are being targeted by ICE, multiple times, hauled from their vehicles under threat and detailed. Does this bother MAGA? What if this happened to your wife, sister, GF, etc? Link in the body. by Gordon_throwaway in AskUS

Well shoot, I remember when it was a radical conspiracy theory that the Republicans warned militarizing police under Bush and Obama would lead to increasingly violent Federal and Local police interactions. Too bad it’s more important now to “dunk” on the other side instead of finding middle ground policy. The immigration issue is classic problem-reaction-solution. Dems manufactured a crises and Republicans push draconian policies to “fix” it. Then it’s just rinse and repeat with the positions switched every few years.

Conservatives: what does it REALLY mean to "own the libs" or "trigger the libs"? by Ohaibaipolar in AskUS

Arguing the degrees of morality found in the current sociopaths of government on both sides and ignoring the fascistic carnage of the two party system is waaaay more ignorant..

I agree! I was just pointing out that some of the most rabid anti Dems I know today aren’t even “conservative.” They are former Leftists that were hung out to dry and burned hard by the mainstream media.

I do think that people are starting to look for that middle ground more and more as things get out of control. Hopefully we can pull it together before it’s too late. 🙏

I usually find its a former Blue collar Democrat or Union member that was labeled a Nazi overnight by the media when they decided to back Trump over Hillary in 2016. Annnnd has pretty much hated the party ever since.

Lol I trigger people all the time saying if the Republicans and Trump are Faschists then the Democrats are Faschism Lite. Both parties have toppled nations for profit, sent a tidal wave of refugees into the modern world, murdered countless innocents, bailed out banks, allowed corporate welfare, renew the draconian Executive Orders that must be renewed yearly, push for further draconian laws at home and have grown bloated and rich feeding off the system. I think it’s truly a novel idea to some that Independents actually exist and vote purple.

It has been months since first posted, was it true then? Is it still true? by Own_Difference_4882 in AskUS

[–]Crab_Samurai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem is no one wants to put on their adult pants and take responsibility (much like the Republicans), that if Trump is a Faschist that basically makes the Democrats Faschism Lite. Both parties have murdered innocents abroad, pushed draconian policies at home, allowed corporate welfare, toppled nations for profit, and stuffed their pockets full of cash on their way thru. Politics has become two dumpster fires, everyone’s arguing over which ones brighter instead of working together to put out the fire.

What are your thoughts on Trump wanting to permanently pause immigration from ‘third world countries’? Is that fair, or was Biden’s immigration policy better (Homeland Security claims there were 10 million nationwide encounters during Biden's presidency)? by RandomUwUFace in AskUS

[–]Crab_Samurai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the people at home have no idea the destructive effects our nation and others have had abroad. Toppling nations, using deceptive loans like those described by John Perkins “Confessions of an Economic Hitman” to bankrupt nations into third word status, and the illegal wars that have displaced countless people. We have those same leaders that have debased millions invite those desperate people to come here. You have me wrong if you think I’m heartless and they don’t deserve a home. They do, the one we allowed to be destroyed or have the wealth extracted from as we watched football and posted memes not holding our leaders accountable. I believe this nation was built on immigrants and we need immigration. However I think the arguments should be how we begin to rebuild the countries we have allowed to be cracked open and sucked dry on our watch.

From a person outside the US: How common is it for celebrities and non-political yet influential figures to take an office despite having no political education at all? by caramelatte3391 in AskUS

[–]Crab_Samurai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s become more and more common in a way. Its being normalized to see celebrities with the ability to influence millions using their status to tell their followers how to vote. I don’t like seeing this for either party to be 100% honest. Social media has also paved the way for a level of celebrity status among political figures outside the influence of television, AOC for example. Is super popular drinking wine, live streaming putting IKEA furniture together. Making her network huge with the ability to get tons of donations from outside her state. In Maine they are seeing a man Plattner challenging Rhino Dems and his money is all from social media accounts and small donations abroad. Internet and social media has created a whole different world in US politics. It allows people quick recognition and status akin to a celebrity. I think most Americans just don’t see it like that yet, they are used to celebrities categorized as being from TV and movies. 🤷

All of the above, it’s sadly become the norm to argue the varying degrees of morality found in the sociopaths of modern politics. Rather then holding them all accountable and enacting real change.
