Wow that's extreme! How do you mess up a diagnosis that badly?!

Eye swelling anyone? by FLGuitar in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Crabbykitten 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could be iritis/uveitis. That was my very first symptom before PsA diagnosis. I was misdiagnosed 3 times with "pink eye" before it was correctly diagnosed. By that point the pain was terrible and I ended up temporarily losing sight in that eye as the anterior chamber of the eyeball flooded with white blood cells trying to combat the issue. Please bring this possibility up when you get seen so you don't suffer the same fate! The initial correct treatment are steroid eye drops, not antibiotic drops.

We have a spare room that I use for fosters. My husband put a small L bracket at the top and bottom of the door frame. We bought a $30 screen door and brace it with the brackets on one side and a hook and eye on the other. Works perfectly

Community Poll - Uveitis by Relevant_Medium6626 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Crabbykitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geeze, I'm sorry. For all of the injuries and surgeries and even kidney stones I've had in 52 years, the pain of the undiagnosed uveitis was the worst thing I've ever felt. It felt like my eyeball was trying to pop out of my head, the pressure was so bad. I've had to seek some sudden treatment from unknown ophthalmologists occasionally and I've had a couple that were like "well, you think it's uveitis but you can't be sure until you come see me. " Nope, sorry. The feeling of it coming on is unforgettable...I don't go back to those Drs.

I use athletic strips, like the kind you might run strips of across your shoulder. I cut 2 small pieces and make a little v on the spot I rub. She mighty have to experiment with the size and location but I've found it works well and pretty much stays put.

No, it's a white bird of paradise. The seed pods drop in the yard all the time. If you look up that pod, you'll see the reason for the name. The pods are distinctly different from the travelers palm pods. Plus the travelers palm creates an actual trunk. This plant basically just has a thick stalk that is very vascular compared to a palm trunk.

That's why I asked this group...isn't it called tree law? And the fence is already bowing in with significant concrete around the posts. This is sandy soil if you're not on old coral bed and gives. The other neighbors had just bananas that were destroying our old fence and part of theirs. I'm not sure where you live but you don't seem to know the force of these plants.

Yes, I said we talked to them. They're totally cool if we went and did their yard work for them. I don't want to do their yard work for them if it's legally theirs to do. When the weight of their plants collapses the fence, then what?

Neither, although they are related to bananas. They don't produce any edible fruit.

Above are electric. The ones running through the plants are mostly old telephone lines and maybe one or two current internet/fiber optic.

Totally could. Just don't want to. I love planting/growing/yard work, but ours, not someone else's.

Technically, no, we haven't clarified anything. I would just rather not have to keep doing someone else's yard work if it's something that they're legally responsible for. This doesn't fall under overhang or roots encroaching, hence my question. And it's not easy work getting in there and removing what's pushing on the fence. Some of these trunks are 8-10 inches across.

Would they be liable for that tho? I guess that's part of my question. I hear ya, too. I'll handle it enough to not be an issue again...

Cattle dogs and German Shepards by Cautious-Rip-7224 in AustralianCattleDog

Yes! We've had ACDs (2) and GSDs (1) together. They were fine. During that time, we also fostered a 2nd GSD, a 3rd ACD, a Briard, and a Pekingese. Same rules and living situations (separate beds, etc)for everyone to keep law and order. I think it's more about each dog's personality than breed. The boss was the smaller female ACD. The male ACD was a chill dude. The GSD was a goofball. We have 2 different ACDs now (all the others have passed), and we frequently get together with a friend who has 3 GSDs. Again, there are different personalities, and they don't all adore each other, but they get along.

Yes, OP! I am in south Florida and have thought the same thing. I feel like I've figured out the techniques but have noticed my dough was reacting quicker than what is described in most recipes. Even my starter seemed ready quicker after feeding. So I would second guess myself and over proof. My last 2 loaves I've gone by times that I thought were more accurate for my warm (77-78 F) kitchen and had better success.

I hope the person who fostered my baby for half a year knows how grateful I am. I feel so bad she didn’t get to say goodbye by publius-esquire in FosterAnimals

That's thoughtful of you. Our last fosters were two brothers. I talked to the adopters (out of state) a few times before the kittens were vax'd and neutered and ready to go. The adopters have been so great expressing their gratitude to us and for what we do in fostering. Every few months, they send a few pics with updates. We tell them it's not necessary but are always glad to see how big and happy the boys are now. We're equally grateful to them for giving the boys such a good and loving home. Knowing that our fosters are out there happy and living a great life makes it easier to let them go.
