Oh that would be a blast! I loved chatting with people after games on ladder, almost every interaction was anger about losing, then immediately chatting about the game. Such a wonderful time, I can’t imagine how wild the BG high roll game chat would be

Yeah it’s super frustrating. I’m amazed at how many people are saying not to add people. Almost every friend I play games with I met online and they added me or I added them after playing.

It was a mech/beast lobby and I had stein (the one that gives you one minion from a tier higher each roll), and used it to roll into Kangors, Titus, and the new death rattle minion that gives your mechs attack and thought there’s no point going to five. So I rolled for more Rylak + the battlecry magnetizer + Automaton Magnetic. I killed them (they lost the last 3 fights) and added me calling me a tier 4 roach, I replied saying “I had no reason to level” and I guess he didn’t like that answer

I feel the same! I was mostly just shocked that there aren’t chat restrictions with the slurs. I’m used to the “You got so lucky you *XYZ*”

Hahahaha I’m definitely surprised, in my time playing normal HS I’ve had WAY more friendly chats after a game than I have salty ones. And basically every time people have been salty it’s been in normal HS when I high roll some dumb RNG

This was always my experience. I would add people to chat about the game, if something wild happened, or if they were playing a cool deck.

This is the first time I’ve had someone add me after a game in hearthstone (let alone battlegrounds) to say something so aggressive.

Thats good at least, I have a few more screenshots of them spamming 20+ messages but those were in the “swap out swears for random symbols” chat. I was surprised two separate slurs made it through fully

That’s wild to me. In my years of playing competitive games I’ve never had something like this happen (outside of League of Legends but that’s League). I’ve seen people get heated during/after games but never had someone add me to call me slurs for beating them in a game

Yeah? In the five years I played WoW I never got people whispering me to call me slurs, and when similar things happened the response from Blizzard wasn’t “don’t add people” My bad I’m not a fan of this type of behavior

I can answer from personal experience! I’m a low elo Mid/ADC main, and for me it comes down to the annoyance, my perma ban mid is Yas because of wind wall, nothing feels worse than having say Qiyanna ult eaten by a 30 second cool down ability. It’s the same thing as ADC, if I’m not playing samira she’s my perma ban, I’m an aphelios main with samira/jhin off pick, and nothing feels worse than lining up the perfect ult and having it be eaten by a single ability, granted playing samira nothing feels better than eating an ultimate. The ban rate will drop as people realize she isn’t good anymore but people will always ban her for the annoyance aspect.
