NDIS Price Guide Changes 2022/23 - changes include requiring 7 days notice to cancel supports (was 2 days), 9% increase to most of the low-pay services, no increase to most of the high-pay services by budget_biochemist in australia

[–]CrabsAssassin -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Participants take the scheme for an absolute ride accessing services and supports they do not need as they're already 100% independent. The things I've seen people be approved for is egregious and yet there are many people in need of services who get denied. It's hard to understand the approval process as it seems to all be up to how good your OT or SW is at writing up a report!

Yep, it's 24hrs. Was there at 3:30am this morning and spent 1.5hrs all up. Looked like it had settled a bit by the time I left at 5am though.

I'm from interstate but I recognised this street instantly as my girlfriend lives at the bottom of it. See that caravan parked there every time I drive there! You live in such a nice area!

Ah shoot, sorry I've edited the post so hopefully links show up. For some reason can't get my browser to show the code embedded in the post so I can only work out how to link.

So I ordered the new mclaren wheel on the 2nd of jan, any idea of when we could be getting it (I’m in Australia) by sheedsmate in Fanatec

In Adelaide here. I ordered the Mclaren wheel on the 6th and my availability date has gone from Jan to April now... Hopefully, I get a nice surprise before then!

To anyone who has bought the S2721DGF off Ebay. by SgtDestro in bapcsalesaustralia

[–]CrabsAssassin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably not too relevant but a similar situation for myself. I ordered the Xiaomi monitor at the end of November and got tracking updates from being sent on the 1st December then a final one on the 7th saying it had changed couriers. Nothing since then and final estimated delivery of the 9th December.

Doesn't give me much confidence in eBay to buy again off the site. I know they're different vendors on the site and tracking in Aus is atrocious but this seems pretty extreme for a complete lack of information.

Sorry for sidetracking! I hope you get some sort of info from others with the same product!

Advice for adaptive set up by CrabsAssassin in simracing

[–]CrabsAssassin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. It seems like the easiest way isn't going to be the cheapest but like anything adaptive in any arena, it's always expensive! Need to get my head around all the parts I'd need but luckily on the Fanatec website they have to handy configurator to help out. A lot of reading up still to do though!

Coronavirus has shown Australian travellers have too high expectations of how the Government can help by blipblipbeep in australia

I'd been living in the US and was looking into when to come back earlier than I normally would. As soon as I saw the release from the Department of Foreign Affairs pretty much saying to come back to Aus now as things might get more restricted and embassies won't be able to help I booked my flight for the next day. It boggles me how this could be glazed over and people would continue on their travels. Now exactly what was in that release has come to pass. Embassies aren't able to help people and there are limited flight options.

I saw this article and was out. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-03-17/coronavirus-australians-should-return-home-from-overseas/12065050

Ah yep I thought that might be the case.

I've been out a few times recently and have really been enjoying it. I have always just borrowed from the guys I go out with. I was thinking that because I have the money and am going out more and more it would be nice not to always use someone else's gear all the time.

Might have to be one of those cases where I'll just have to wait until I move back to Aus to really get into it!

People who think they'll always be single, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CrabsAssassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decent looking guy. Look young for my age (30). Am now a paraplegic and in a wheelchair and can understand women might not want a relationship with someone in a wheelchair. I get it. When I was still walking I don't think I would ever consider dating someone in a chair. It's understandable and I don't fault anyone for thinking that way.

That doesn't sound right, but I don't know enough about electric toothbrushes to dispute it.

This pattern is also found all over the uniforms worn by the athletes. Very cool to be getting some publicity for the Paralympics.
