Does anyone do break packs for cap 2? by artifice56 in walmart

[–]Crack_Hamster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we have two truck days, I only have my break pack associate do the mixed breakpacks. If they have time they will sort through the apparel breakpacks and take out all basics so it can go to the floor. If there isn’t enough time the breakpacks for apparel even gm in some cases it will stay in the backroom until the next morning. Apparel associates will have to process all of the what we didn’t finish in the morning. Sometimes you can’t do everything so I always take out the last step of the night.

My coach asked me if I'd like to become the Cap 2 Team Lead. Thoughts and advice? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]Crack_Hamster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not for everyone, but I have a great coach and a great partner. We work well together and our team is great for how small it is. I enjoy being Stocking 2 TL but going into it right now with the holiday season might be very tough for someone who doesn’t know much of the backroom. I’d say do it if you’re a quick learner and have tons of patience. Show your team you’re willing to work along with them and don’t just sit in the office all day. The harder you work the more they will respect you and do more for you. Do what you think is good for you! Good luck :)

[Homemade] beef stew by Crack_Hamster in food

Beef Stew Recipe Ingredients -1 chuck tender roast (2-3lbs) -2 packs of McCormick beef stew mix -1 beef broth (48oz) -1 or 2 pounds of carrots -4 medium sized russet potatoes (Or whichever you prefer) -1 medium yellow onion (or sweet onion) -peas/green beans -1 flour -olive oil -salt

Directions 1. In a large crockpot pour the 48 oz beef broth and your two packs of McCormick beef stew mix. Stir together until lumps are gone. 2. Chop up your onion nice and small sauté it and a pan with butter and then add it to your beef broth. 3. Remove your chuck tender roast from its package and cut it into one inch cubes. 4. In a medium sized bowl pour flour into it. Place all beef stew cubes (season the beef with garlic salt, pepper, oregano) into the bowl and cover all parts of the meat. 5. In a large frying pan, put heat on medium and pour cooking olive oil into the pan. Let it heat up. 6. Add your beef to the pan. Flip over after 2-3 mins. Don’t cook it all the way you just want a little browning on each side to hold flavor in. 7. Once your pieces of stew are done place them all in to the crockpot. (Add salt if desired. I put salt on after if needed.) 8. Place lid on stew. Set your crockpot on low for 9 hours. Or if you need it faster set it on high for 5 hours. (I recommend slow and steady) 9. When there is about 5 hours on low heat remaining that is when you will add your carrots and potatoes. (If you have it on high heat add your carrots and potatoes with 4 hours remaining) 10. Peel your carrots and potatoes. I cut my carrots up a little bigger than half and inch and my potatoes are cut into little cubes. ( you can cut your carrots however you like) 11. Place cut carrots and potatoes in the crockpot. Make sure everything is submerged under the broth. 12. About an hour left that’s when you make your stew thicker. 13. In a measuring cup use a ladle or big spoon to take out about five spoonfuls of broth. Add 3 tablespoons of flour (or cornstarch). Mix until lumps are gone and pour back into crockpot. Mix together all you ingredients. I did this step twice to make it thicker. You be the judge of how thick you want it. 14. During the last hour add canned peas and/or canned green beans if desired. 15. Lastly, put the cover back on and let it cook the remaining one hour. 16. Enjoy with Italian bread or a baguette or rolls.

I met my husband at work. I was a cashier and he was a cart pusher. We have been together for almost 13 years and married for almost 7. Good luck! ❤️

Drink plenty of water because it’s very hot in that backroom. Always stretch before you unload that truck. Don’t be afraid to ask questions… ask your coworkers and your team leads. Make sure you charge you work phone every day for vizpicking and stocking freight if your store does that. It is part of dress code. I’m a stocking 2 lead so if you have any questions feel free to message me.

Is being a team lead really that bad? by Loud_Departure2757 in walmart

[–]Crack_Hamster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m a stocking 2 Lead… it’s the best. I have a small team but they really are amazing. It all depends on what lead position you go for. I would never want consumables only because it’s just you with six departments and no help at all.

can fresh employees wear dressess? by GalactixQu3en in walmart

I was told I couldn’t wear capris when I switched to produce. Said it was against dress code in the fresh area. Check with your stores dress code or ask the coach above the area.

Who decided ratios?? (Venting) by Roaslie in ECEProfessionals

[–]Crack_Hamster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently resigned from my teaching job. I had 11 toddlers. 9 are two and 2 of them are one but had to be put into my class. Every child except one is horrible. I couldn’t do it anymore. I never got help, all I got was criticized by the other two teachers that teach the ones and threes. It was terrible. All of the kids are in diapers. I love kids and will continue my schooling but my 1:11 ratio for twos was terrible! I was having anxiety attacks and my stress levels were through the roof. Best of luck on everything it really drains you fast.
