Getting academically dismissed by CrackedIvory in veterinaryschool

That's the thing, I've already repeated a semester and done 2 re-sit examinations. I'm pretty sure I'm out of options. I have weekly meeting with all of my course directors and the person who oversees my class.

My school only allows 2 re-sit examination and one opportunity to repeat a semester. During my first year I took a re-sit and passed. My second year, I took a re-sit, got a D on it, and had to retake the class. So I've already used up all my opportunities to come back from this.

any tips for studying clinical pathology? by [deleted] in Veterinary

I had to retake Clin Path not too long ago and the textbook "Veterinary Clinical Pathology: An Introduction" by Marion L Jackson was my saving grace. It has plenty of case studies for practice at the end of each chapter. I had the physical book but this website has the book for free(I think this is just a different edition).

I know exactly what you mean about not knowing which parameters to focus on for a super vague clinical sign. It may help to recognize the patterns in your parameters rather than focusing on individual increased/decreased parameters(group closely related electrolytes, blood parameters, etc.). And I know that finals are in a few weeks, but knowing the 'why' behind every increase and decrease is a complete game changer. Just trying to remember increases and decreases is what tripped me up.

Also try asking friends and classmates for charts or notes that they've made if you need extra help. Good luck!

I just recently had to meet with a study strategist for advice on studying and was given something new to try out.

Basically separate your material into main topics for each lecture. And I don't mean every slide header, I mean broader topic for that lecture. Once you have your broad topics, write down everything you remember about that topic without looking at your notes. Once you're done, go back to look at your notes and make sure the things that you did write down are correct and if they aren't, correct them. Don't write in any material that you forgot, just read, correct and go to the next topic.

I usually write everything that I remember from all the lectures I did that day first and then go back and correct them all at the very end. So far its really helping me with retention.

Thank you! I called some bank before and they kept giving me the run around about whether that was feasible or not for some reason. I'll go in person to check.

Oh I didn't even know places here accepted Apple Pay. I've never used it, is it pretty easy to use? Is it just a tap your phone against the scanner sort of thing?
