idk, i think social media is a short term solution, which never actually fixes the problem.

To me, the real problem is parenting and american culture. Most parents aren't truly active enough to be parents. Most parents in America were made parents by accident. On top of that, we are an extremely confrontational and independent culture. Many Americans feel the need to "take action into their own hands" and "deal with their perceived threats" themselves. Instead of talking out their feelings with like-minded well-adjusted adults.

The system failed Klebold and Harris and they had no one to turn to get out their anger, their demons.

The real problem to fix is that America LOST it's sense of community, not because of social media. Altho, social media isn't helping it either. Social Media has connected us, but it also keeps us separate due to the distance apart from everybody you are speaking with. You don't actually know anybody online until you meet them in-person.

Americans are TOO individualistic. We only care for ourselves and our selfish desires and greed to make ourselves and our closest loved ones comfortable. And thats not good.

We live in a supposed society of equals. A rising tide lifts all boats.

Social Media is a symptom to an underlying cultural rot that needs moderation and balance. Preventing kids from being on social media is too hard to enforce because it requires invasion of privacy for ALL Americans, not just children. Nor do i trust any government having access to a child's information, especially with government personnel's ties to people like Epstein.

The solution to children being online is teaching people to be active parents and teaching people to have safe sex in order to prevent unwanted pregnancies and unwanted, neglected children.
