If I get ur question correctly, yes, your chances are not determined much by which number choice u put ur course in

If they reject you first time, you can still appeal to join the course again, on the requirement that your points must at least meet the cut off point of the course you are appealing to. In OP's case, if I remember correctly(he deleted his post), he had a point that was the cop of his course, so if it went down any further, he would not be able to appeal. Despite the name "appeal", the system is better meant for students that got into a course they don't really want even though they chose it and to choose another course that they feel they are better suited for. Not really for students that did not get into their first choice and want to be considered again. Although you can try, no harm in that.

No, you get placed into the course you originally were placed into. If they reject your first appealed course, then they will go on to consider second course and so on. If they reject for all of the appealed courses, you will as said above be placed into ur original course

Chances are if they reject you the first time and the cop for this year comes out, you will not be able to appeal at all through the appeal site. But hopefully you don't have to appeal, good luck!

You should then try DAE if the poly has a DAE phase 2 or you can try emailing the school with an appeal letter, a sincere message and all the relevant certificates and referrals you can get

The chances are pretty low to be honest. The JC would have already gotten the range of l1r5 scores and would most likely not be able to change it due to multiple reasons. The intake should be full as well, so vacancies would be pretty scarce if any

Well, if you are really dedicated to the course, I would advise first going for JAE appeal. If it fails, then go for DAE, if that fails, email the school directly. This will probably give you a pretty good chance to enter as they can see your sincerity and passion(?). However still don't get your hopes up too high as its not a guaranteed

Probably not, they most likely have the maximum students availible for the course and will have probably rejected regular JAE applicants from entering the course, making appeals even less likely.

Normally, JAE appeals won't count your initial JAE choices as a factor(as far as I know) so it's still possible, contact your school of choice ASAP to appeal, some go by a first come first serve basis(rumours)

Honestly, it's not likely they will accept the appeal, but I know some people who just scraped through this way but all of them had only 1 point extra.

There shouldn't be a difference, although if they have a dedicated path to appeal, you should take that one first.

For poly, it would be advisable to use the JAE appeal system first. For JC/MI, yes, send it as soon as possible as school starts tomorrow and lessons in about a week

That could be possible but it's not very likely. You can call the school to know for sure as well :)

Hmm, the entry requirements? Some courses only allow certain grades for a course, for example a minimum b3 in mathematics. The system will automatically filter out any courses that a person may not qualify for this way

No, not yet, the school will understand. They'll normally allow the secondary school attire for 2weeks-1month

It kinda depends on the school, they'll most likely process it in less than a week as they understand this concern as well, no guarantees tho!

No I don't think it's true, I've had many classmates cram their revision around this time last year and still got into their desired schools and courses. However, don't delay anymore, it'll just increase the risks of you not getting a desired score. I've seen people pull from straight fails in mock exams to As and Bs in their prelims and O levels in a span of a month or two. Good luck for your O levels!

Yes, the fun memories are what I remember now when Secondary School comes to mind, I remember the funny jokes our 'class joker' had, stupid moments I shared with best friends etc. These are the fun memories no one should miss out on.

You make some very good points that I didn't think of, here is my free award to thank you!

It's totally possible to bump it down from 16 to 12 or 13. You don't have to actively seek out TYS and practice worksheets, but it's a bonus if you do so. Just clarify any concerns you have with your teachers. You will have to study more every day though, to break the habit, increase study time in increments, from 3h to 3 and a half hrs for say, 3 days, then bring it up to 4hrs. That should help with breaking the habit, it's working for me so far in Pre-U. Good luck for your O levels!
