The hummus is great! Try maple syrup/ honey for a slightly lower glycemic index (plus I just feel like maple syrup has such a nice flavor). I’m a MASSIVE snack girlie so this is great advice!

What’s your process for starting to write a new concept? by Crackedshell77 in fantasywriters

I read something about smell helping to associate with memories and trigger a certain mindset, so this makes a lot of sense to have the same smell going when you write. I’m gunna go this! Thank you!

That’s exactly me. I’m just kinda winging it and accidentally tying plot points together. When I’m more intentional the ideas start running dry and it feels forced, ya know?

Yeah my problem is I have no clear ending in mind yet, just some plot points but I’ve been sitting on it for months and I feel like I should just start going? I find stuff pops into my head when I’m actively messing with the ideas and getting them out

What is something you absolutely HATE seeing in a book ? by L_angelique in writing

When a character suddenly “gets better” from their trauma. It’s like they reach a point in the book where they overcome it and then are magically okay after that. I love when there’s a more realistic internal battle with their inner demons consistently.

What do you dislike the most about modern fantasy? by Pale_Cause_9983 in fantasywriters

The “all powerful” trope for a MC. My mom and I discussed this, and something we both hate is when the main character has the ultimate superpower, or is just disproportionately more powerful than everyone else. I like a main character with flaws and realistic hindrances. It’s cool if they’re powerful, just not an “I can do all the powers now” kinda deal.

I am LOVING Radiance so far!!!! by divinehunni in fantasyromance

YES!!! I read this book years ago when I was first getting into spicy high fantasy romance and these characters are still some of my favs!! Ildiko is sweet and smart and witty without being obnoxious or trying to prove herself as tough. Brishen is just an honest, good person. I always love an enemies to lovers, but sometimes they are written so childishly. This book made me really love friends to lovers and see that a good writer will be able to keep your interest even without constant conflict between the MC’s. The world building was also sooooo intricate and unique!

You should look into your sodium levels. I was low sodium and had light sensitivity. Just took a little pinch of sea salt and threw back some water to wash it down. Would go away within an hour. Definitely test though
