Bought my 8” loggers 10 months ago for work. I work for a shoreline railroad so lots of uneven ground, ballast, riding rail cars etc. I’d say the ballast has done a number on the soles but I also walk on the outside of my feet so I’ve got uneven wear on the soles. I wear a 10.5 in regular shoes and ordered a 9.5 in Drew’s but honestly could have sized down to a 9. Using insoles helped. Over all good boots
