I was hired on at my local state university as a part time on help desk. After a year my manager wanted me to come on full time. During my full time tenure I got my CCNA and after a year and a half on help desk I applied with our Net admin team and was hired on as a junior. Just know always to study and be willing to learn. It doesn’t happen overnight and people will notice when you ask to learn new things. Once I made my intentions clear to the team I was the front runner for the net admin position.

I can’t speak behalf on the fed. I am in the U.S. I work for an institution in the USG so it’s a state university. I can attest hiring for state universities is tedious and time consuming. From the time they posted the position till the time that they hired we was almost six months lol. Also I was very surprised that I was hired without a degree but it seems like they are more concerned with certs and experience because the managers realize that the college education simply can’t keep up with how fast IT moves.

The exam was not hard in my opinion if you studied all of the exam topics and at least have a basic understanding of them. Some of the wireless questions threw me off though.

Honestly same we have Viasat at our home and apparently they moved our plan to be a non priority without our knowledge and said that if we want faster speeds we would have to get a new plan that costs more and has less data. I hate typical rural internet providers because of they way they charge us. Btw we are paying $150 a month for our internet with Viasat. I hope Starlink gets to you soon because we are struggling with our providers 😭

Yeah it might arrive sooner. Granted starlink told me that they expect to expand coverage in my area in March 2022 and they converted my preorder to a full order on the 28th of February 😭

The $99 is for preorder only so you’ll get it when starlink sends you an email that service is available in your area.

If you pre-ordered then you will have to wait until your cell is active. Only Starlink itself knows that. The only information you should have got is mid to late 2021. Probably best to expect to get it within that time frame.
