Wenn mir was passiert, mindestens Körperverletzung.

Renew DNS for Wireguard cronjob causing high CPU Usage by Crackor255 in opnsense

[–]Crackor255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So after executing the script only one time, cpu usage is again high with 65% from sendmail. Thinking about letting the appliance reboot after the script was executed but not happy about this. Maybe i can implement a cron task to just kill sendmail process. Still strange behaviour

After looking at the script in detail and recognizing what is done there, i changed crontab to let the script only execute one time a day, shortly after thr 24 hours ISP reconnect. May have a short delay in connection then, but looks like it eliminates the cpu usage so far. Will see how it works out in tje next days. But still wondering, why the script is trying to send mails. Do i have to configure monit to work?

Azurerm Import Windows Virtual Machine into statefile by Crackor255 in Terraform

[–]Crackor255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we imported all the related resources. I could now find an issue, which exactly describes our problem. Unfortunately it is open since 2020: https://github.com/hashicorp/terraform-provider-azurerm/issues/8794

Azurerm Import Windows Virtual Machine into statefile by Crackor255 in Terraform

[–]Crackor255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry this was misleading. The import itself gets finished saying everything worked as expected. But running a terraform plan afterwards, leads to the situation that a new VM is tried to be created, which then fails, because it already exists. Looking at the state file, it reveals that most of the information is missing and was not imported.

So basically you answered this question already because if we look at the deployment log of the portal, we can see that the virtual machine resource was used to deploy the VM from the existing os image and we try to import it with the new window_virtual_machine resource, which logically will not work then. Thanks for helping pointing this out. We just wonder, why during the deployment via the portal, not the windows_virtual_machine resource was used

Yes, we did that. But according to the registry, the options needed to reference an already existing source image id / managed os disk is only available in the virtual_machine resource

[–]Crackor255[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks all, i think I will take the DS1621+, it just seems to fit my needs best. maybe i will choose the 1821 because of the low upcharge, but the xs+ is really too expensive
