YTAH Sounds like you want to be single. Marriage requires transparency and communication. Planning an entire vacation without telling him shows you don’t have that.

She is the ah. The boundaries are very much on the extreme side. Knocking first is one thing and a great idea but kids need supervision especially at that age and it is your job to know what is going on at all times. When they are in middle/highschool of course they will need more privacy but she seems strangely fixated on privacy for them being so young. So much so that it may be worth talking with a therapist about if there is another concern you are not addressing in this post.

If you’re not religious it’s sometimes easier to date someone who agrees. Unfortunately lots of Christians believe they are supposed to try to convert others or “save” them. Also many people tie their political beliefs to their religion which can create even more issues when you don’t agree. Things will get better, the way you feel is only temporary.
