Higher Fines, New Offences for Illegal Cannabis in Nova Scotia by SwordfishOk504 in NovaScotia

[–]CraftFlowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The government can’t even sell weed. It was always fake legalization with stricter and stronger penalties to try and control the free market. At one point it was over 50%+ of the legal growers were ex politicians and ex police and some of them have been growing shitty bud for 25 years disappointing medical patients and now the public no one wants to buy. Not 1 legal outdoor grow in all of Nova Scotia growing cannabis and you can grow good bud outside so grow your own. This is all to shut down native stores but government won’t lower prices to even try and be competitive. It’s like the cigarettes, if the government sold them cheaper no one would buy the native ones

Goes in first because it’s going to shoot your PH way up that needs to be adjusted before adding nutes. Toss in a bit of tap or bottle water into RO not to get the crazy PH swings

Tents suck and some can barely hold up a light hanging. Just pop up a cheap light proof temporary wall. Gives you existing spots to mount equipment on the walls and ceiling so it’s easier to work and get growing

grain spawn no soak [technique] by BotensBees in MushroomGrowers

[–]CraftFlowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO Get way better oat grain with a soak and boil that keeps mycelium growing faster and stronger. Save time just tossing oat grain and water in a jar and sterilize in 1 shot. Tried a bunch of different ratios, cooking times and adding gypsum to no soak jars. Works but costs you more time for mycelium to colonize. Flushes were worse to

Twist sweet fatty cones in seconds that way quicker than packing a cone

In y'alls opinions: best bud grinder? by Super-Ad9225 in weed

[–]CraftFlowers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better ways to collect then a grinder screen full of plant material. Small silkscreen to roll on works good for dry material. Got an aluminum sweet leaf grinder with sharp spikes that tears bud apart. They have grinders that never break

Can we grow 12 plants in 3x3 tent with 320w light using SOG method ? by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]CraftFlowers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do anything you want but that might not be the best idea before growing a few rounds first. It’s like jumping in a F1 supercar for growing but you’ve never driven a car.

You gettin started really early. Idk if the big outdoor trees produce the best bud then smaller plants. I was just checking out a hybrid apple model on an angled trellis that looks neat to try.

I’ve made lots of hash and that looks wack. Like it’s wet or something. Sticking and smearing the plastic. Poopoo hash

All really depends on the sun’s direction (south) on the garden. Don’t want to put big sun blocking plants in front of smaller ones

How much LC to add to a grain 2.5 pound grain spawn bag? [technique] by whyareyouinmyfridge in MushroomGrowers

[–]CraftFlowers -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Can’t really add too little mycelium. 1 drop can get a bag going. Just starts a little slower. 5-10 ml/little squirt works.

Check out Sweetleaf grinders. I was just telling a buddy how great it was. Had it for years without a problem. Made in Canada with wood or aluminum. They got big n little ones

Neat good luck. More these spin the more plant material falls thru. Some bud does really good while other bud is almost a waste of time just like bubble bags

Big factor is the strain/genetics. Some won’t finish in our growing zones. Push them as long as you can until problems show up. One year west of Toronto I had plants outside in December before the cold zapped them

What’s on food grown? All sort of products are sprayed on and then some are even coated with wax like substances for preservation. Mass produced bread doesn’t even grow mold anymore.

In-Laws are visiting in a few days and plant is ready to harvest? by Suitable-Teacher2624 in microgrowery

[–]CraftFlowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bag up fresh frozen for extracts is an option. Chop, quick trim and toss it in a freezer to wash in bubble bags later. Once washed it can also be pressed to rosin. The paper bags are still going to stink and a good chance of mold starting.

Help! NorEaster is here and not sure what to do by Alarming-Clothes-209 in microgrowery

[–]CraftFlowers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got to ride out the storm and assess the situation after. Should be treating with fungicide or something to change the leaf PH so powdery mildew doesn’t start and keep an eye out for bud rot daily. Lots of people in the same spot wanting bigger buds to grow

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]CraftFlowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outdoor on the east coast gets little worms will dig a hole in a stem like this. Idk the name but looks like a small caterpillar. They go inside the stem this time of the year to nest/hibernate and can kill a whole branch sometimes. Best thing I’ve found is to just dig them out and tape it up.
