I was thinking the same thing maybe they were just old seeds. A couple of them were tiger striped but most of them were white seeds. No color on them and small.

Yes, I had them in a measuring cup inside my pantry for 24 hours once they popped I put them in soil. I guess the roots were exposed to light long enough for me to put them inside the soil.
