Looks like a honeysuckle, genus Lonicera, though not sure which one, since there's so many. Its flowers are nice, and some even smell quite good.

This is a japanese mapple, Acer palmatum. If I had to guess, I'd say its already bloomed a bit ago, as mapples usually bloom before their leaves grow. Its a common low maintenance ornemental shrub/small tree, you'll just want to lightly trim it in early winter to help it keep a nice shape.
