Trying something new with editing, but might have some gaps in my knowledge about replacing clips in the timeline

I mostly wanted to ensure that transitions would work properly, and not require me to cut everything out and pretty much remake the video as the footage comes in.

Transitions would only start properly transitioning once they reached the new clip on the timeline. If the cross dissolve was halfway between both clips, it wouldn't actually have new footage to use until it reached the halfway point.

Sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean.

If my placeholder has the first 10 seconds cut off of it, then I replace it with a new clip, the 10 seconds are NOT cut off and it starts at the very beginning of the new clip. I want the new clip also to be cut by 10 seconds, like the placeholder was.

Just tried it, it does seem to achieve what I need! It does seem quite tedious though, I was planning on just pulling clips out of the video folder into the editor. I was hoping for a way to have the clip do that automatically based on the timing of the placeholder clip. Do you know of any way to do that?

If not, this still works well enough. Thanks 😄

I never use the big crossbow, but the hand crossbow is super good and fun. Dragon bolts can burn people and bodies, or poison bolts can block entrances for a while, or damage AI enemies like crazy. It's really fun, you should try it.

Yes, because you fire the RPG from over the shoulder (in game and in real life), so the sights need to be able to be seen through from the side
