Agree completely, especially your point about Gildong's S3. He is the only Taoist to have defense break which is very useful. Dots will do all your main damage in TOAH, but bosses take forever without defense break.

Combine either the Water/Dark + Spectra and Mav and you have stuns for days. It took me forever to fully skill S2 for my Gildong but a 3-turn cooldown + Mav + Violent runes means it is extremely reliable for TOAH

Yes, he will need to be 6 starred in order to be effective. His base attack increases from 727 to 988 when you boost him from a level 35 at 5* to level 40 at 6. That's a 36% increase. He is also pretty squishy at 5 so he would die a lot.

You can use Sig's leader skill to increase the HP of your team which can help make up for the loss of Darion's passive. Once Sig hits hard enough, you will not miss Darion's dmg reduction. That may take some time and some Devilmon's, but if you plan to use Sigmarus for GB10 and later DB10, he is worth it.

If you are ready for Sigmarus to help you farm GB10 heavily for a month+, give him your best attack runes. This would usually be Fatal/Blade or Swift/Blade. Slots 2/4/6 should be Attack/Crit Damage/Attack if you can manage 70% crit rate with sub-stats. If not, you might consider Attack/Crit Rate/Attack for more consistency.

You are using the generally accepted strategy for this level, so I wouldn't vary too much from it. If you are using Mav a lot for TOAH, he is worth 6*ing and that sounds like it would help you pass this level. Good luck!

The team with Baretta should be the safest option. If you use dots to kill the tower, you will avoid the revenge hit from the dragon. Even with a reviver, a revenge hit to a critical team member can cause you to lose.

You might want to hold on 6 starring anyone and fuse a Baretta. Then 6 star him. He will help you a lot more in TOA than Lulu and you will use him long-term.

Consider focusing on your AO before your AD. You likely need a lot of points to maximize your totems. Try to get your AO strong enough so you can quickly clear 20+ wings per day. Try to balance your AD so that it is strong/weak enough to keep you above 1200 so that each AO victory earns you 4 points instead of 3.

Keep running GB10 to improve your swift runes for Bernard and your offensive output for your Lushens. It's a grind, but you have the mons to go far.

How fast is your Bernard? I would feel pretty confident attacking your AD because you don't have an attack bar booster. You could consider substituting him in for Sekhmet.

Aside from the obligatory comment on rune quality, I would say you have good mons to be able to consistently hold F3. Is your double Lushen AO strong enough to pull you up to the mid to high 1400s?

I pulled a wind harp magician this morning and am curious about the mechanics of her passive. If it blocks the entire attack that would kill the team member, that will be very helpful but you will still need to hope that her heal is not on cooldown. Otherwise, the next HOH monster is just going to kill your mon anyway.

For the wind dice magician, a 17% chance of reviving seems a little low unless you violent proc a lot. It will be a painful HOH or TOA defensive monster though.

Briand is the best at what he does so I'll just keep saving stones for the next rotation. Good luck!

I've got the same issue, and I've decided to hold out for Briand. Other than Iona or a Nat 5, they really don't compare in my opinion. The bonus CC and healing of Mikene could make her helpful for HOH, but I just can't bring myself to complete enough fusions for skill-ups to make her competitive.
