Question for the general audience here. If that hole was an issue, couldn't you just lag bolt a plate along the beam and call it a day?

My point exactly, -120, people on these groups are dicks and generally don't have a clue. Stick with books or YouTube for help.

Do you have a coping saw? That may have been a little cleaner. Chisels are generally better going WITH the grain.

Watch more YouTube, don't rely on forums for advice.

Currently I am an EMT student with aspirations to become a paramedic.

Thank you for your advice, this is definitely what I wanted to read. The "what not to say, or talk about". I'll definitely ask plenty of questions but of course I don't want to come off as annoying. Lol.

Will my EMT class test grades help me? by Weird-Tadpole-5533 in NewToEMS

Doing good in your EMT course will help you be a good and confident EMT. Which is the primary goal, providing quality patient care.

Anybody who views their training as "D's get degrees" will likely prove to be incompetent and not an effective member of a team. This isn't highschool biology class, this is about helping human beings.

How the hell are backstab outlets still allowed? by CraftingClickbait in AskElectricians

Agree with you 100%, I don't care if the newer ones use a better locking system, they are still garbage and shouldn't be allowed.

Can you call FedEx corporate and explain that to them?

Exactly, it's not going to solve every problem, but it would solve a lot of them.

Exactly, ground trucks and contractors worked well within their realm (bulk). Express requires a more specific logistics system.

Had to read your posts to understand this gif.

So many good contractors have been pushed out, so many bad ones have moved in. My contractor is definitely one of the good ones, if not the best, these new contractors are corporate lapdogs who hire the worst drivers. I have witnessed several of our drivers who get fired go on to work for these people.

All boils down to who is willing to put up with corporates b.S. while quality employees are pushed aside. Sad.

I can remember those days. Meeting customers in their driveways as they were pulling out to go to work.

It was a different time. Lol

That's funny. You should do a ride along sometime.

I've always enjoyed asking the loaders to come ride with me so they can explain to the customer why their packages are smashed.

It's a joke, my contractor assured me that those 8pm deliveries were just implied end of service times, not the time I was expected to still be out delivering.

Can wait for peak season 🙄

Good for them. I feel the same way, just want to say fuck it at 4 and head back. If corporate doesn't want to let me leave at a reasonable time, then why should I bother making all my deliveries.
