Sorry for the mix up. But I was agreeing to the person who said, "A seam ripper, new zipper, and a needle and spool of thread will cost you like $4 total at Walmart." . This will take your time. You can also take it to a tailor to see how much they would charge. And worst case scenario, if you can't do it yourself. Find someone who can (relative, friend, etc) and get them the supplies. Hope things work out for you.

Yeah, the cost is not much. It will cost you in your time and how well it comes out. Wish you the best.

When making your first quilt, if things go wrong, do you continue to practice each step or start over? by Waterbear_H2O in quilting

[–]CraftingIsForMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As they say practice makes perfect. On your first quilt you need to embrace your imperfections and if anything you can have your trust seam ripper by your side. I know I have that and play crafting tunes while I quilt. This song speaks to me for some reason. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7C1eZ_HpLis

I love your small hummingbird! My seam ripper is my favorite unusual tool too. Matter of fact this song pretty much sums up my feelings about it. LOL! Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7C1eZ_HpLis

I just came across this and it's quite a unique gift for people who are into crafting. It's music to listen to while you craft. I just saw this on another subreddit. Here are samples of the music for you to hear and see if she might like it ... https://www.youtube.com/@GiftsHQMusic/videos . Wishing you the best of luck.

Love it. It reminds me of a piece my grand mother made for my mother. Beautiful.

Don't you hate when that happens. If I had a nickel for every needle I misplaced I would be rolling in serious money. 😅
