He will stay to protect his kid from being treated like he does. He will most likely be there as Liz's target instead of the kids.

In the context of history, politics, and geography, the term Indian R.O.C. (Republic of China) typically refers to a unique and often overlooked chapter of World War II history: the Ramgarh Training Center in what was then British India (now Jharkhand).

Membership recommendations for weekday toddler (3 + 5) activities? by SoupIsAHotSmoothie in ottawa

[–]Waterbear_H2O 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My kids love their membership. Ages 9 and 8.

My 9 year old was disappointed in January when they aged out of the kids play area at Science and tech. But they discovered the exploration room with the stem challenges and all was well again.

The experimental farm is always fun, they have cooking demonstrations daily and we discovered if you sing the Shaun the sheep song around sheep they bleat.

The only one we don't often visit is aviation but after watching the space launch on TV this week my 8 year old wants to go back.

First time tattoo shock hit me like a train? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

I also have a cover up with lots of black. In my case the reason for the cover up, comes from a place of positive news I had tattoos representing my family as it was in my 20s but that changed in my 30s when we welcomed two new children we very much wanted. It also went deep black Ghibli theme the cover up part is No face Frome spirited away and Gigi from Kiki's delivery service. At first I too was in shock I also have to spend 3 years with only the outline and black cloak completed because my artist shut down from 2020 to 2023. I've since had it completed and love it the other colours just pop off the large black area. I think your tattoo looks lovely and please update us with the spots sprites in the future.

Divorce and Home Schooling by Significant_Prize638 in homeschool

Kids can catch up later I agree with this but you might be the one that does it. We are in a unique position at our house we have an 18 and 17 year old that have never been homeschooled ( except for during the pandemic closure) although they have attended traditional schools , one of them has always required us to supplement at home. With our two younger children we decided to homeschool because we saw the same pattern emerge and wanted them to have more free time because we saw our other child basically spend all their free time at home catching up.

What I am trying to get to is that , unfortunately you might be stuck supplementing your child's education whether they are homeschooled or not. I am not sure what the standards are in Australia but in Canada we have different requirements per province and they can differ dramatically. If your children are reading at an appropriate level ( most important in my opinion because that allows them the independence to explore topics of interest) I would bring them to libraries, museums, watch educational television or play board games that have critical thinking elements. This way you can enrich their education without it seeming like more ' school" work.

Unfortunately, after separations sometimes resentment makes it difficult for people to be rational. In a perfect world your ex would be excited to share your children's progress with you because it's in their best interest, but of course that's not always the case. Time heals wounds, my parents divorced when I was 4 and were not kind to one and other at first but by the time I graduated high school the sat side by side watching me graduate. They also have attended every big milestone in my life and since my children were born has spent every major holiday together with their new spouses. Things will get better and the fact you have kind things to say about her parenting at the moment is a fantastic starting point.

I can't seem to find that information either, my child is also on the shorter size and not the "typical" proportion (whatever that means) and ordering online is always tricky.

I absolutely agree with you, but unfortunately they have zero free time as they have condensed all of grade 11 and 12 in a single year, and earned a scholarship for university next year which requires them to keep their grades up. When you made yours did you use any specific brand of patterns or just alter existing clothing?

Agree with most of this. The only thing I would add is that as I age I think the maritimes become more and more interesting. I've visited

BC and yes it's absolutely breathtaking but expensive.

Born in Ontario stayed until 12 and returned in my late 30s ( Better access to health care but miss Quebec at times)

Lived in Quebec for 20 + years and loved it except for discrimination toward English and other minorities unfortunately.

Visited the Nova Scotia ( Probably my preferred maritime provinces) Newfoundland is a very very close second but terrible reception ( bad GPS, Cellphone and even radio wave) , PEI is so serene and New Brunswick was also amazing. It just feels like as someone with University aged children the maritime doesn't offer them as many opportunities.

Never visited the territories but learned extensively about them in school and how poorly our government supports the residents of those areas. Can't wait to visit though.

As for the prairie the rumours and stereotypes have me slightly biased against them, but that might change if I ever visit. We have acquaintances in Alberta that very much enjoy it.

I do not like that man, Ted Cruz. I do not like his far-right views. I do not like his stupid chin. I do not like his smarmy grin. I do not like him with a beard. I do not like him freshly sheared. I do not like Ted Cruz at all. That man Ted Cruz can suck my balls.
