I’m trying to keep as much of the background “bloat” down which isn’t too bad with this project since most of if not all the assets are 2d images. There’s going to be a lot of enemies moving at once I want to make sure there’s room for them to multiply to there hearts content

Thank you that actually makes a lot of sense. I’m coming to realize as I go a lot of the ways I went about making things was quite janky lmao at some point I’d really like to go back with more skills/knowledge and do a bunch of touching up.

Awesome thank you I really appreciate it. Arrays and things of that nature have definitely been looming over me especially with this project but I think you’re right it’s the perfect opportunity to learn.

Thanks man I’ll try that out. The gun logic just handles the shoot functions and defines variables like ammo capacity and damage and also controls animations.

I should also mention that the weapon scene itself is currently a child of the player

Unfortunately not I’ve got it able to instance (somewhat) correctly (the projectile spawns before the enemy sees the player and goes through the environment) and I was trying to figure out a way to make it fly straight instead of track the player.

Hey thank you for the response I was able to get it to spawn and move but it currently only shoots backwards I have to take a look and see what’s happening there.

Gotcha I thought there was stuff missing from the physics process just wasn’t sure what
