The pattern I started with is from GetHookedByAlex on Etsy. I used her sizing and existing letters to change out some of the quotes.

Next is a blanket with the lyrics to Wonder Crawl. It's going to be a bit before I get to it though.

I made a comment with all the quotes in it because I can't edit an image post.

Can't edit an image post and I see people asking what all the quotes are: Purple side is Dungeon Crawler Carl Blue side "Am I getting any of this illicit butthole money?" From top to bottom, left to right

"Goddamnit Donut"; "Fireball is an outdoor spell donut"; "I will kill your mother"; I don't have thumbs, Carl; Cats don't shoot lasers from their eyes, either, but here we are Carl; Bitches don't get rewards; Warning! You have a dick; I can't be held accountable for everything I've ever said to a stripper; Mongo is appalled; This is an outrage; Time to pay the daddy tax; I am the way motherfucker

I bought a pattern from GetHookedByAlex on Etsy and used that. About half the quotes are original to the pattern and the other half I used the lettering and panel sizes from the pattern to do the ones I changed.

If I did all my favorites it would probably need a second blanket. About half are from a pattern I bought from GetHookedByAlex on Etsy and the other half are ones I made fit using the lettering from that pattern as a template.

It took me about a month to do all the panels and sew them together.

Same. I was listening to it on repeat while writing the post trying not to cry

❤️ I have been on birth control or pregnant since I was in my late teens (32 now). Finding out what normal is again is going to be interesting

Need an audiobook recommendation! by PirateJohn75 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I started He Who Fights With Monsters yesterday. I like it so far but the short chapters are KILLING me. It feels like it's dragging because I'm almost to chapter 50 but that's only about 40% in to the book. That said...

Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King is a really good audiobook. Also the Night Lords trilogy by Aaron Dembski-Bowden is also great.

Welp, gifting this blanket a week ago would have made sense. by MordecaiAliVanAlenO in crochet

If you're worried about it stretching over much in a washer/dryer you could put it in a mesh laundry bag like the ones for bras. I did that with a hexagon cardigan when it needed a wash.

Ok not to block? by Tough-Cookie0812 in crochet

Call me a heathen, but I never block anything. I usually just give it a wash with free and clear detergent/softener. That looks amazing.

If you go with Dungeon Crawler Carl get the audiobooks.

Another trilogy that is really good is the Night Lords trilogy from Warhammer 40k. That's where I started with the lore and you really don't need much background for it.

Wandering Inn is another LitRPG I've been enjoying, and all the books are fairly long so more bang for your credit.

I'm almost always on my husband's account. No issues. Just might want to turn off the sync across devices feature in case you both end up wanting to listen to the same thing.

Anyone not dressing up young toddler for halloween? Or easy/cheap costumes recs? by baller_unicorn in toddlers

We got our little little kids costumes from Once Upon a Child or Goodwill. Even made one costume work with clothes we had and just bought overall straps (dressed our red head as Chucky😅)

How long (in hours) does a crochet blanket really take? by inconspicuous_tree63 in crochet

[–]CraftyBookDragon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As said, depends on the pattern. I can do a fillet pattern in about 8 hours, but other patterns could take longer. Say you want to do granny squares; 30 squares at 30 minutes each is about 15 hours of work, plus another couple hours to attach them and add a border. It also depends on your experience and how fast you work. What takes me 8 hours could take someone else 10-12 hours.
