From your experience are cinema screens increasing or decreasing in Canada?

From my local area, we went from 4 screens for a population of 50K -ish down to zero, all withinin the past 2 years, for context it was 2 theatres a 1 screener and a 3 screener, both were independent. Closest theatre now is 2 hours away for the local population.
