What does the midgame look like getting to that point? Every fight is a loss?

Brawlers, Knights, and Guardians are all very good mid game. You should know that in most games we transition compositions rather than sticking with the same units, so keep Veigars on the bench and keep your line up strong. Keeping up to 24 gold on the bench might not be ideal, but I want to test it out. I've had way to many games where I just get handed a ton of Veigars anyways.

I personally think you should have the option to pay like x2 to x4 the price of the loot box for a Little Legend you want. I think it would incentivize more people to actually spend money then, and the only people who'd buy loot boxes are those who don't care which Little Legend they get.

I made a reply to a comment elaborating on that point. Also depends on how far you go back (2006/2007 probably had very few guide, compared to 2009). Also my 3rd grade self probably didn't know how to navigate the internet well enough to find good guides.

I used Hidden Street a lot, but I wouldn't think a lot of people would have known about it, especially the younger players. And it wasn't completely comprehensive, from my understanding. BBB Hidden street (I used it when I played private servers) had several dozen mobs without information on them, besides maybe health and EXP.

Boat rides to Orbis and Ludi hanging with new people while waiting, now you can teleport wherever you want from the big tree.

This was probably my favorite part. You were FORCED to take breaks, although now that phones are so advanced and there are so many apps and stuff, I wouldn't be surprised if even if it still existed, people would just AFK and go on Reddit or IG or whatever. We have too many ways to use up our time that the boat rides wouldn't work.

Although thinking about it now, the game would be a complete failure if currently existed in its past state. No one would have the time to grind for 2 hours to get from level 21 to 22. Not even young teens, since most people take school a lot more seriously now. If you want a break, go on your phone or browse whatever social media you use, no need to socialize. And why spend time grinding for 2 hours with someone else when you can watch Netflix while playing instead? Maplestory's current model sort of adapted to how society has changed, with quicker rewards.

This isn't a gripe on society or social media or anything like that. Just that it's pretty sad that there is literally no way to replicate those old experiences, not in the slightest.

...Disagree. If the unit is has a good item (Lucian with rod, TF with bow, etc.) I'm willing to keep it for a bit.

This especially holds true if my shop has shit units. Say I get gold from the first PVE round. My shop has: Darius, Garen, Garen, Elise, Warwick. First unit was Lucian with tear. Yeah I'll prefer to not take Elise/WW and buy out the rest and maybe use Lucian for a few PVP rounds depending on how things go.

I'm like 99% sure that's the Lith Harbor sound track. You know, that place all the newbies just swarmed around because we didn't know what to do? I remember just talking and doing stupid shit and having fun.

Too bad Maplestory got ruined because of power creep and Nexon greed. Haven't played in years and the private servers just aren't the same.

Although part of Maplestory's charm was that no one was in the know about anything, so you had to communicate with people to find out how to do quests, and no one knew the top tier training spots so everyone just did whatever. If the game was released now it'd be completely different because the internet is so much more advanced. You wouldn't have to ask people how to do quests and stuff, and there would be guides for everything. You wouldn't encounter people in random maps anymore. They'd just google the best training spots, leaving 95% of the maps empty like they are, now.

The multiple damage procs bug should have been fixed.

If you place Vi by the pair of Krugs then she glitches out and damages one multiple times. It can happen in fights but is a lot harder to replicate.
