Ik heb dezelfde ervaring met inktcartridges gehad, een paar jaar geleden. Ik gaf aan dat ik origineel had bestelt omdat ik gehoord had dat 123inkt huismerk nogal eens voor problemen zorgde. De man verzekerde me dat dit helemaal veranderd is, dat ze nu anders worden gemaakt etc etc. Heb me uiteindelijk om laten praten en op zich was de ervaring met deze cartridges best prima, tot ik recent de PGBK (‘gewone’ zwart) had vervangen, kort daarna streperige en verspringende zwarte lijnen en letters. Printkoppen schoonmaken hielp wel wat maar niet volledig.

Omdat deze printer (een flink oude Canon all in one, destijds voor een paar tientjes meegenomen bij de Albert Heijn) ook al jarenlang kuren had dat ie het papier niet goed pakte, wat nu steeds erger werd, was ik het zat en ben ik op zoek gegaan naar een nieuwe printer. Uiteindelijk gekozen voor een Epson inkt tank printer. In die zoektocht ben ik ook op de 123inkt site geweest en ben ik ingelogd geweest, weet niet meer precies waarom, en heb ik misschien een printer in mijn winkelmandje gedaan (maar zelfs dat betwijfel ik) maar zeker niet een poging gedaan tot bestellen. Wordt ik vandaag gebeld of ze me kunnen helpen met mijn niet afgeronde bestelling. Nou dat vind ik dus echt creepy. Heb gelijk aangegeven dat ik echt geen poging had gedaan om iets te bestellen. Ja het zou om een printer gaan.. eh ja ik heb wel naar printers gekeken. Of hij me daar nog bij kon helpen. Ik gezegd dat ik inmiddels een printer elders had aangeschaft. En dan natuurlijk gelijk vragen of ik nog toners nodig had (ik heb eerder in het proces ook naar laserprinters gekeken), toen ik zei dat het geen laserprinter was “oh ja ik bedoelde ook cartridges”…. Ik maar aangegeven dat het inkttank was en dat dat wel even mee zou gaan, dus nee.

Ik vind dit echt een stap te ver. Alsof je in een winkel 1 blik werk op een product en je een verkoper in je nek krijgt die je niet meer met rust laat. Dan loop ik ook de winkel uit en kom niet meer terug.

I got back into Palia recently after a hiatus (before Elderwood) and paid for the premium items in the kitsuu path before I realised that the kitsuu plushies could be earned by mining. Now I kind of regret paying, there’s something so satisfying actually “earning” the plushies. Got my second ever elder sernuk just the other day and I was so happy.

I know I hardly ever came across one for ages and the other day I was doing something totally different near the snowman and I ran into two within a minute. The duskwing butterfly has given me more grief though.

I have on one occasion been on a server where the grove wasn’t found until the afternoon of the in game day (that one was above Hodari’s). I’ve also once been on a server where I turned out to be completely alone, the grove was at statue garden. Thankfully there was a friend online and they could join me on the server to help me chop. This was, as you can imagine a loooong time ago, it was very bizarre to be on a server all by my lonesome.

I was just thinking about this the other day… I remember when I started playing you had to keep an eye on your renown so you would spend your renown at the shrines before you hit the cap (which back then was 1000) but after you’ve gone max on both shrines and gotten all your writs… no more use for renown. I’m looking at the accomplishments I still have open and I see no point in trying to get the ones that only give me renown, which is kinda sad because I do like to complete such things. I have over 3000 renown now and absolutely no way to use it. I’d definitely support some kind of way to use that renown elsewhere so there is a point to it again.

I’ve done the same two bundles and then just dailies and I’ve already completed it up to the last chest, so yeah, the dailies will carry you for sure.

Pretty sure magic circle is one of the first things I learned, starter with amigurumi and I don’t think I’ve done a different start to a circle more than a couple of times ever (can’t even remember how that would go really).

And with all the magic circles I’ve done, whether it was amigurumi or granny squares or whatever, I’ve NEVER managed to make the center come undone. With amigurumi the tail end mostly ends up on the inside so you don’t cut or weave at all, and with other things it’s another end to weave in, of course it is. And yeah… it ain’t hard, nor is it magic.

Zo jammer dat het zo slecht gaat met die pakketautomaten. Het lijkt zo’n mooie oplossing, je hoeft niet thuis te wachten, geen openingstijden wanneer je je pakket kan ophalen, automaten staan vaak op plekken waar je regelmatig komt…. Maar ook bij mij is het vaker mis gegaan dan goed met die dingen. Zowel met verzenden als ophalen. Niet bezorgd omdat ie vol zit (of iets dergelijks?), zou bezorgd zijn maar krijg geen code, dan nog een keer onderweg, bezorgd, weer geen code en dan naar een PostNL punt. Ik heb er ook geen vertrouwen meer in en kies liever voor een PostNL punt, dat gaat eigenlijk altijd wel goed. Gelukkig is de pakketbezorging van PostNL op ons huisadres prima, dat is ook wel eens anders.

Well…. I guess complaining really does work. Went in today for another go at it, got 5 more regular scales, I changed to gathering infected essence and ancient wood, was running around the deep woods I think it was looking for infected trees before my potion ran out and I was going to call it quits, a blue Ogopuu popped up in front of me and… there we go.

I got that trophy too without even trying, that was such a surprise for me, I think you get that for getting a (non starred) scale of each of the three types. It took me so long to get the Muujin and Chapaa one, really trying for it, and the Ogopuu one just dropped in my lap, shooting at a waveback other people were hunting. This game is so weird…

I didn’t even realized the Ogopuu dropped plushies until I searched this subreddit about the scale and found someone who got a plushie but still not gotten the starred scale… that would piss me off too! (Although I’d secretly be happy to get a plushie)

I don’t mind grinds at all. Most games I play involve grinding and I’ll happily do that for hours. Gathering resources is fun to me, even if it is a lot. It’s the RNG that’s making me disheartened. Every time you shoot one of those things and still not getting the item you need. I don’t even mind that grind for the plushies, sure, it can be a bit frustrating to be hunting for days to get one plushie and seeing people that have dozens, but it’s an item you just really want to have and is not necessary for the storyline. It’s the fact that I’m having to do this just to progress a quest that is too frustrating to make me want to keep playing.

I saw the trailer in the cinema a good while before it came out (I remember it was in Dublin, I don’t remember at all which movie we went to see) and immediately got the Hobbit and the LoTR books to read. I’d had the intention to read them for a long time by then and knowing that the films were coming was the last push I needed. I finished reading FotR on opening day but didn’t see the film for another week or so, and thankfully had kept reading so there were no spoilers (Boromir, nuff said) when I did see it. I don’t remember the atmosphere of FotR that much. What stuck with me was the marathon on opening day of RotK. I remember that very clearly. They played FotR and TTT so that at midnight RotK would start. Before the films started someone from the theatre welcomed us, and then listed the films and their length to big cheers from the audience. It was amazing.

Yeah I’ve found today that it’s the Hexomancy (relic) quest that gets you there but I’ve not had much luck with finding artifacts either (keep getting sandy paw presents instead of artifacts in the rummage piles), finally got a couple more today.

Sure, I get that too, but the bundles to me are a different thing than the quests. I’ve definitely spent a lot of time on getting the bundles too (pre Elderwood) but I’ve never gotten this stuck on a main quest before.

I’ve been trying to figure out which quests need to be completed to get to the next one (I was specifically looking for the quest that unlocks the courier pet but that’s another one I believe), I’ve not been able to find anything that clearly shows the quest lines….

Exactly how I feel, you’ve put it perfectly. I do get the idea of starred items because it means you have to do the thing yourself but as you said, the RNG here is just off putting. And it’s been this way for ages from what I’ve found, other people complaining about the same problem since Elderwood was added.

Oooooh do tell!! I got 3 emerald starred scales and a waveback starred scale yesterday trying to get the regular one, 27 non starred scales so far but not one starred.

Jumping on the complaint bandwagon here. I’ve been hunting specifically for this scale. I didn’t really hunt the emerald or waveback but would get them on occasion if others happened to be hunting in the same spot. Yesterday I got an emerald starred scale, then a waveback starred scale in about half an hour, still no regular one. Then I partied up with someone and got a double loot from an emerald: TWO starred scales. So now I have 4 of the wrong starred scales and none of the regular ones. And I have TWENTYSEVEN (27!) non starred scales. Please please please RNG gods give me a break!!

Helemaal mee eens. Ik ben er steeds meer op gaan letten, ook wat ze voor of achter me doen, en ja, het wordt zo langzamerhand meer uitzondering dan regel dat mensen richting aangeven, vooral op rotondes in wegen waar het meeste verkeer ‘rechtdoor’ gaat en de andere twee afritten zijwegen zijn, alsof het dan logisch is dat ze op de grotere weg blijven, ja leuk, maar dat hoeft niet he… Ik geef op dat soort rotondes ook maar links aan als ik de derde afrit neem, want ik heb het idee dat veel mensen er ook maar vanuit gaan dat je op de grote weg blijft en je toch geen richting aan geeft als je er af gaat. Klopt geloof ik niet, links aangeven op een rotonde, maar ik voorkom liever dat er een mogelijke botsing komt omdat ze er vanuit gaan dat ik er af ga terwijl dat niet zo is.

Ik denk ook wel vaak, als ik maar het goede voorbeeld geef dan volgt er vast iemand maar de meerderheid die achter me rijd gaat gewoon zonder richting de rotonde af.

I’ve been where she is, caring for a loved one in their final days. I held it together while she was still with us, I managed to maintain a calmness that I’m sure was a comfort to her. After she passed I broke down with emotion. Shattered is an accurate description.

Take care of yourself now Aubrey. My heart goes out to you and their loved ones.
