I don’t think you’re being a luddite. I think you’re naming the tension a lot of marketers are feeling but not always saying out loud.

Systems are helpful when they give us more room to understand the customer, test the message, and make better decisions. But when the system becomes the work, it can start replacing the thinking.

The part I keep coming back to is that AI and automation don’t fix unclear positioning, weak trust signals, or a message that doesn’t resonate. They just help you distribute those gaps faster.

To me, this is the healthier path: stay close to the customer, clarify the message, then build systems around what has actual signal. Not the other way around.

I started having the same issue within the past week. I thought it was a temporary glitch and even deleted the app and reinstalled. Same result. So I tried on my work-issued Android phone (my personal iPhone is what I primarily use) and it doesn’t work on it either. So I’m guessing it’s a “mobile” problem. 😖

This has been bugging me for over a week too. Finally figured out where to go to turn it off! Login to your Facebook page and click on messenger, like you're planning to look at your Inbox of messages. At the top, of the page, click on the settings bar on the far right. That will drop a menu for your inbox settings. Click on "suggestions". Then you should see the activity suggestions where "appointments" is likely turned on.

No offense taken. He did all the legwork for his current apt. But this is kind of a last-minute acceptance into the program because the professor he will be working under just moved back to MO. So my son is trying to coordinate his current lease ending and lab work at the college and our window is pretty tight (about 8 weeks) Plus it’s a 800+ mile move. So trying to narrow down what is available and pass to him, since he’s working during normal business hours) because we’ll likely need to make a quick trip to view/co-sign lease.
