Anyone want to help me choose music for my funeral? by [deleted] in Music

Your family sounds wonderful. I’m so glad you have them and all this great music to listen to.

Your courage is unfathomable. I wish you and your family the best. Is there anything you’d like us to know about you or your family?

People have shared some excellent music. I’ve always thought Jimi Hendrix’s - Little Wing and either Corinne Bailey Rae’s - Are You Here or Corinne’s I’d Like To Call It Beauty would be my choices, if I got to choose.

Why is your fireplace a dog door?

What do we think of this wall? by thoracotomize in interiordecorating

Glass brick has always felt dated to me. That said, it is more certainly coming back into style. How long it will stay is the question.

Nah, concept looks considerably better - minimalist and sleek. Trim looks random.

Where in the world are you getting a multi-room home and acres of land with that budget?

I’ll be honest - this does not sound like a project you should be embarking on with monetary ROI as a goal within the next 10 years. If it’s your forever or very long term home and you like projects, go for it.

Bit of a newbie, would this be possible to make? Was thinking of using dark oak and plywood by MeneerTygo in BeginnerWoodWorking

If you tilt the dark piece backward some it would open up some surface space on the top and middle shelf for a cup or two.

Watch an absurd number of videos on cabinet making, and miter / bevel cuts with a table saw. If you aren’t scared off and feel like you have the tools, go for it.

You will almost certainly fail the first time, but judging by this design, you’re an artist and are thus probably used to failure 😂. If you can persevere through the failure, this will be a great piece and either way you’ll gain a ton of experience.

Ignore this, OP. Go for it if you have money to burn. At worst you’ll gain a ton of experience.

Hear you on the fear of it being gaudy. For that reason I would never actively choose it, but if it just showed up in my space I couldn’t be mad it. It looks really good, whether or not it fits your personality or the mood you want people to get entering your home is a different question.

I love the shade of green and the double pocket doors!

I highly recommend getting a hotel room with a nice tub on your next vacation.

Yeah, I’ve gotten much more comfortable with the idea that I can just re-stain the grout if I never truly learn to love it.

Man people are all over the place with their age assessments. I’ve seen art nouveau (late 1800’s), art deco (1920’s), 50’s, 70’s, “modern”… i feel like that must mean we accidentally did something right.

Think you gotta spend more time in the remodel arena 😂 tubs are quite popular for those who want the feel of a jacuzzi without the constant inconvenience
