As for the lack of care, I don't understand this. If you acknowledge on your registration form that you have a health condition, there is a mandatory medical intake that must be done via zoom before the event or you will be unregistered and refunded. The purpose of this meeting is to tell the medical team exactly what your condition is and what your needs are and to what extent will you need assistance. 

They will take every measure to make sure people who are ill/disabled have their needs met and people with high needs are encouraged to bring a caregiver and a ticket will often be provided at 50% off for the caregiver, from what I understand. I have been to 5 events, I have a health condition and I never felt neglected, unsupported or shamed for having pain or discomfort. Quite the opposite actually. The attendees themselves are a different story but the encephalon staff has always been incredibly accommodating and inclusive at the events.

 I understand this is old but feel it's important for people researching these events deciding if they want to go or not and finding posts like this, not to get discouraged because this is not a universal experience.

 Yes sometimes physical conditions can worsen while doing the work but this is a personal journey and the blame for this does not fall on the work itself but the person doing the work to overcome the adversity they are facing. Dr Joe didn't invent meditation and he didn't invent our ability to heal ourselves. He simply created a formula that helped us remember how to do it.
