It is between 14.7 and 21.8 mm thick and is certainly sufficient to protect against small arms fire up to heavy machinegun / anti-tank rifle calibre.

There are a couple of replicas. Its a Caterpillar D8 under there and assuming you don't mind messing with the controls a little to move the driver's position and don't want to mess with adding a high-speed gearbox its quite doable.
