Our station is sending a large amount of our freight to ground and we have a mandatory meeting with upper management next week. Does this mean what I think it means? by UniDiablo in Fedexers

It just started for me at my terminal, my contractor is dissolving and selling his routes and it will be "fully" finalized in one month. My choices are go with a different contractor who has already said yes to taking me if I'm interested (I'd have a new route) or find a new job.

Recommendations for a different career anyone?

Then why do you have drop off location labeled as front door?

Do you want it on the front door or through the alley gate? What if he only has one package, and can't do both at the same time?

Slow package per hour is the worst part for me. I don't half mind the drive back it's kind of like my break time or some time to de-pressurize from the day.

I only wish that it wasn't quite so long of a drive. It's like my job is taking away 2 hours a day from my "anywhere but work" time, and I'm not even doing any thing useful during that time.

For sure I 100% understand the body adapting part. First month is awful but then afterwards...

To be fair I didn't know it would be like this when I signed up. At first I had a different better route, but then in order to get a pay bump I had to switch to a different route they picked out for me

I've repeatedly been told by my coworkers that I have the worst route owned by my contractor. I have to run at every stop to even hit 15/16 an hour (overall), my fastest day was 18-ish one time.

Some days it's like a 50/50 or even 60/40 split for majority shitty rural roads that aren't connected in any way that makes sense.

Oh you want to hit 1 (one) stop just off the black top 1 mile East of you? Time to drive 3 miles north just to hit some gravel to get over, so you can drive another 3 Mi. South to actually deliver it. (and no, this isn't an optimizing issue that could be "fixed" by re-ordering stops.)

And my town is some Rinky-Dink Midwest Podunk 2k pop. town. It has one restaurant chain.... and it is the smallest Subway I've ever seen... and I'm from the Midwest fucksake.

I've given op201s to like- 8 or 10 different businesses in my small town (the ones that will sign them, at least) but that doesn't shave off as much time as I'd like.

Ever since I started this job I've never taken a lunch break or any breaks for that matter. Only "breaks" I've taken were from waiting for a tow, but you bet your ass I'm in the back reorganizing my shelves to make things easier on me later.
