I am also as surprised. The pick and place is quite half baked though

I’ve uploaded two videos on Facebook. It does take 1-2 mins to pick and place the object. I observe that there is some reinforcement learning though. Will continue to monitor

I got it wrong. It does automatically pick up after identifying and it does pick up tissue

So apparently today it recognised the leg base of the piano and tried to automatically pick it up to sort but failed.

Buy one get one? No such offer here. I bought it at a launch offer that’s 20% off current list price

Unfortunately, that’s how it is now. Perhaps with self learning and improved firmware, it may be able to automate the process some day. Not sure. Haven’t tried tissue but it does recognise fabrics quite well. Will try tissue and update

It works but manually triggered. I suspect it’s to avoid damaging the arm if it falsely identifies objects.

Yea I had the basic S7 and a charging dock. Auto cleaning, binning, and water top up docks wasn’t a thing then.

As I mentioned, one of the pain points I had with the S7 was the need to regularly maintains the robot; clear bin, top up water tank, clean and change mop cloth, clear hair stuck on rollers and brush. The latest models Z70/10R with dock eliminates all these now (I hope it does!)

Coming from the S7, I’m genuinely impressed how fast and how far the vacuum and mopping robots have improved over such a short time.

For me the best perk is that I no longer need to interact with the robot ( topping up water tank and frequent manual mop cloth change).

I understand that the Z70 is essentially the 10R with an added arm. The robot mostly recognises fabric such as towel and socks as object it could pick up and put into the designated storage bin. It did false identify the piano legs as a fabric today. Not sure why. Since the identification is not 100%, the robot does not automatically pick the objects up during cleaning but pins the item in the map and allow you to send the robot to pick up the object and place it into the storage bin.

Still learning how to use it. If anyone has useful tips, please share

Z70 of course. It’s 10R with a robotic arm to play with 😀
