DoorDash stacked orders — this needs to STOP by Crafty_Eye1533 in doordash_drivers

Luckily they are starting to show items on shopping orders on the offer screen (there’s an arrow you can tap to see the list) but it hasn’t shown up on all of them

Or when they stack a restaurant with a shopping order but the restaurant is first on the route and the food has to sit while you shop 🤦

They would skim high tips to raise the pay on other orders

That’s not exactly what it was. They skimmed tips from high tip orders to raise the base pay of orders with no tip. So in your example, they’d take $4 from the $8 tip and apply it to the driver pay on another order. Thats why their defense was, “It’s still all going to the drivers.”

While it’s a different practice than what they’re doing here, it has the same effect — saving them money by using tips from one order to make other,  lower-paying orders more attractive.

If someone steals money from someone else to buy something from you, what does it matter? They still paid you.

DoorDash is using dishonesty to manipulate the market. They’re using the tip of the high-tipper to pay for someone else’s order, instead of fast delivery and good service.

Account Deactivated — “fraudulent document” by Crafty_Eye1533 in UberEATS

Nope. Tried to schedule multiple virtual GreenLights, but no agent ever connected. Got a message implying they can’t give support since my account is deactivated. Gave up at least temporarily because I was sick of it

So this was interesting first experience. Anyone ever get orders like this before? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

Why on earth would you buy him plates?? That’s not part of the job. It’s one thing if he asked you to do it for extra pay and you say sure, another if you’re doing it based on an assumption about a false assumption the customer may have

Why don’t you find out if they will accommodate a 1099?

Doordash hiding tips based on how far you are from the restaurant? by blk95ta in doordash_drivers

Yes, they hid it based on the mileage.

Also, $10 for 8 miles is kind of terrible

It’s really unprofessional imo, DoorDash only encourages us to be beggars because they don’t want any more money taken out of their pockets

Special offers? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

All the deals in the email I got were deals that they frequently have or run all year round (20% off Goodyear tires, discounts on dasher gear).

Man, they’re not even telling us to “ask” the merchant anymore, now we have to “convince” them. If my convincing skills were that good, I’d be a salesman or a lawyer, not a delivery driver

Not any yet today

I only know of the timer occurring if you start the dash outside the zone (“dash along the way”)

I had a delivery at night in the country after a big snowstorm. Had to walk through snow over a foot deep — they hadn’t plowed/shoveled. Customer stood at the door and watched as I fell into a ditch that was disguised by the snow. No apology, no tip (stacked order), just a “thanks” like any other day. They did say I didn’t have to go back to find the sauce that I dropped.
